I remember the game last year. It was late March but was brutally cold (even some snow flakes started falling towards the end of the game).

SKC took the lead about 10 minutes in on a long throw (are you effing kidding me) when Opara skies above Lord Kwame.

Then SKC sat back and defended the whole rest of the game while that star-studded lineup missed chance after chance, while we froze our butts off.

Some payback is needed for that.

Dwyer is out for this game huh? We're very lucky.

I thought we looked absolutely exhausted the other night. I'm not too hopeful for this game.

I'm over Mix right now, but wouldn't mind seeing Mix relieve Frank as the 10. Possibly even Bravo for Iraola who also looked exhausted.

Looks like the team got caught in the mess that was air traffic/weather delays and cancellations in NY the last few days, and ended up on a charter to KC- similar to what happened to DC on their way to Columbus a few weeks back.
This would be the second charter for the season, I think- after the SEA-TOR, unless I'm forgetting one.

I wonder if there's an allowance for that. It's not like they chose to charter a flight. After their flight last night was cancelled they probablyy had no choice with no other way to book 30 or so people in time.

There is a cap on the number of charters per season.

One of the more ridiculous rules in MLS

Yes, and knowing that I was asking if circumstances like this weekend get an allowance so they don't count. I doubt anyone knows because of the usual MLS opacity, but if anyone does please chime in.

The few times I have seen anecdotal stories, it seems like delays/cancellations are just part of dealing with it, and you have to use your limited charters accordingly. Most recently: http://www.mlssoccer.com/post/2016/...l-ordeal-dc-united-ready-sporting-kansas-city

A replacement flight was delayed and then canceled outright, forcing United’s players and staff to find a hotel for the night and figure out a solution in the morning. With throngs of passengers also stranded, D.C. United opted to use one of their four allowed charter flights for the season.

I was at that game. Opara was a beast.

This is where CFG should think outside of the box and use some money.

Reyna: Fine, only allow us 4 chartered airplane trips, no problem, because we're chartering a squadron of lavish helicopters - how 'bout them apples?!?
