Had a meeting with the FO and other supporter representation yesterday. We have a follow up call today at 5:30. I will let you all know the plan after the call. It could change our original plan so I don't want to speak too soon.
R roxfontaine please let us know what time the march to the stadium is as well - Thanks!

Current MLS Injury Report lists Matarrita as having a "high ankle sprain". If that's true, he could be out longer than we would like - those can take a while to heal.

Yikes. That said, this is supposedly the same injury he was trying to play through. You don't really try to play through a bad high ankle sprain. But knowing this is the injury, I'd be quite happy to have him back 100% for first game in August.

Would love it if PV is playing mind-games, lists Mata as Questionable to make Marsch game-plan multiple strategies (is he even capable of that?), and then magically includes Mata in the 18 after a miraculous recovery???? Does he start or sub or play LB or LW - all questions Marsch will have to contemplate....

High ankle sprain is an injury to the ligament between the tibia and fibula, like those bones being pulled apart. This sprain can cause instability in the ankle joint and has to heal completely before rehab starts. Six weeks is minimum. Who knows what additional damage was done by playing him injured.

It's so great to have your injury analysis. Feels like an NFL pregame show where they bring in the expert to evaluate how long a player may be out.

You may know more than me, but don't high ankle sprains come in levels of severity? I knew that they need to heel fully before rehab, and that's why they can linger, but how can you say for sure six weeks?

Of course. It's all guessing because we have zero details. High ankle sprains need a lot of force to occur, to separate the shin bones, so there isn't really a mild version.

Ok... I will keep this as brief but as detailed as possible. We haven't even sent all of this info out to members yet so you're getting the run down early. It's been a trying week coordinating everything and this is where we are at:

We are having a supporter tailgate hosted by TRNJ! That's the good news. It was in serious jeopardy but we got it. We are working on 6 kegs for everyone and simple BBQ food will be provided as well. All at no cost.

RB has put significant restrictions on where we can be. That's good and bad. The good is that we don't have to worry too much about obnoxious RB fans (or NYCFC fans) looking to start fights. The bad is that we have to move as one large group. There will be a couple of meet points in the city where you can take a free bus to the stadium. I strongly urge you to get on one of these buses to get to the game. No, it's not ideal but it is the ideal way for us to get there safely and securely. They absolutely do not want large groups of us walking through their supporter parking/tailgating area. We are very much limited in where we can be. If you're driving, reconsider. There are only 25 parking spaces available. No, they won't expand it. If you must take the train, we will be coordinating a meet time so everyone can get to the stadium at the same time (or time window) and be escorted to the tailgate area. I can't stress enough that we all need to try to get on the same page and get to the tailgate area either by bus (priority) or train in a very specific window. Driving is discouraged.

The meet point in the city will be Lily O'Briens - 18 Murray Street. There will be other meet points but they have not yet been confirmed. We only just learned that we had so much restriction on Monday so everyone is scrambling to get organized in a different way. I will update you all asap.

That's the basis of what's happening. Be sure to read everything. I'll go into more detail later. Maybe by facebook broadcast.

So this implies that it also applies to any non-SG NYCFC fans that are attending? Are the front offices that worried about stuff happening to random NYCFC fans going to the game on their own?

He was not at practice today. A few others out as well, but his was the only one that was a bit concerning.

Hard to know what's going on with Jesse.

Is he trying to influence the officials? Mark Geiger is the guy on Sunday, and whatever you think about him, I don't think someone with his experience is going to fall for such nonsense. (Marsch acted like he didn't know who the ref would be, but I am sure he did.)

Is he trying to fire up his team? Maybe. He likes to get them to play with a chip on their shoulder.

Does he actually believe this crap? Maybe. I wouldn't be surprised if he had a major persecution complex.
