It doesn't sound like Afful is fit at the moment, so we shouldn't see him. Is Jack starting now? I was really hoping we'd have a shot at acquiring him somehow. Strangely calm and (extra) optimistic about this game. And let's hope Frank sits -- not only are we better without him right now, I'd rather he finish the season healthy and not rush anything.

As the play-off race goes this is the way to go. If guys can't go both games the focus needs to be on Columbus. I say we leave Lampard out on Wednesday to give him a few extra days to heal and then let him be the center point of his big show down with Stevie G on Sunday while any of the guys who need a rest from the Columbus game sit. I wonder how much pull the league has when it comes to lineups, you have to imagine they want all 3 DPs from each team out there for a prime time game like that.

Hopefully by this time tomorrow Joe Tolleson is saying, "And Kwadwo Poku puts NYCFC up 1-0 in the early stages against Columbus." With Ian Joy commentating, "A beautiful run by Poku through the defense and a great strike past the keeper and into the back of the net. This man is good."

If we are praying to the soccer gods I sure hope we have better sacrifices to offer than Grabavoy and Wingert.

The ultras would only upset the Soccer Godz as ultras cannot be let into the heavenly gates of the pitch in the sky. We may have to offer up Angelino, a young angel may please the Godz. Praise be. Praise be.

BTW, the referee tonight is Allen Chapman. We've seen him once before, when we played Toronto the first time and won. He called the handball on Perquis, and allowed us to pound the shit out of giovinco. That was the game that Perquis lost his mind after the game. Really the refereeing was bad, hope out doesn't bite us back now.

HUGE game tonight. Absolutely need a win to have any reasonable hope for playoffs. BUT, the Crew also need a win. We've come up very small in big games in the past, time to put that behind us and play like we know we can. like we have when we beat Toronto 2-0, when we beat DC 3-1, when we beat NE 2-0! I'm going to try to predict the lineup:

Not so sure. We've had plenty of rest. I don't think he takes TMac out. I'd expect him to take out Mix before TMac. And I think he will have liked his RJ experiment. So my prediction:

All the same lineup as DC other than Mena in for Facey.
