British To Amercian Soccer Vocabulary /parody

"Soccer" is mainly used by the media though. You would never have a conversation with a friend and say "did you watch the soccer game last night?" They'd look at you as if you were an alien.

I have used it many times over the years. No one has said anything. I have read World Soccer for 30 years and no has said anything. Yes, i did grow up in Manchester.

I'm ok with soccer but we are New York City Football Club. I call it football because that's what it is but I don't correct anyone using soccer.
