Class. It's our job as fans to hold him up. He's done everything the right way and we should show our appreciation for that MUCH more than we show our distaste for the other guy.
Villa is our star. Since day one he keeps showing how committed and happy is about this project and about the city. He is always talking about the team and showing his desire to bring a winning culture.

From what I've seen when they both signed Lampard was seen as a bigger start, and more of the face of NYCFC, which is strange seeing as Villa is not only 3 years younger, but had a better season last year, and has won more in his career. Villa is the face of NYCFC.
Lampard comes from the PL and speaks English is why.

No, I think he is implying its more widely watched in the states, and its an English speaking league.

while i can agree with the english part, i still personally think Villa should be considered the face seeing as how NYC has a massive spanish speaking population, myself included in, and he is more active like in social networks and interviews and such.

That's the whole point of this thread. The comment you're taking umbrage with was only saying that Lampard became the de facto face of the team because his league is more watched and broadcast in the language that the majority of MLS fans speak. As fans, we should absolutely give that attention to Villa instead.
