I've long given up on traditional media sources (e.g., ABC, CBS, NBC, major cable networks, NY Times, print magazines like Time / Newsweek, Sports Illustrated and even a lot of their internet content) to cover soccer in the US the right way because I wanted to avoid being frustrated. I'm not going to read through their vapid coverage to find a good piece now and then. Instead, I just rely on a few trusted sources on the internet and if a traditional media source does a good article, a link to it pops up in one of my trusted sources.

If your comment about NYCFC missing pertains to the ESPNFC section of ESPN then that is really "beyond sad."

You can even find more relevant information in these forums than in those news sources.

ESPN already has a dedicated site for soccer with an entire homepage for NYCFC. The regular ESPN site never has had good soccer coverage. Just go to ESPNFC.
