Who are the Eagles? DC United has a Screaming Eagles supporters group, but I never heard them or any MLS team referred to as Eagles.

Lalas is probably just going with crests that have birds on them (aside from us being the pigeons).

To be fair, that completely escaped me, but, again, has anyone ever called DCU the Eagles? Your hear Loons a lot, and Pigeons occasionally. Herons might take off. But never Eagles, outside of the SG. I guess if it becomes a big enough theme some might call United the Eagles.

I’m glad the rumor (leak) whatever turned out to be true. I really think it’s an outstanding crest. I was definitely in the early camp of wanting Miami Vice to be the name but I knew that would never happen and Inter Miami is fine with me.
