Speaking of the sale, I was able to pick up Forza 7 for $39.99 also. Direct download from the XBox store, but Gamestop was advertising the same price.

Is anyone else playing a Be A Pro campaign? The rating system is unbelievably brutal about your player's positioning, like to an absurdly unrealistic degree. I'm playing as a LF in a front three, and every time I cut inside and make a run into the box to receive a pass, for example, I get dinged for "poor positioning" unless I score or assist. Like... I just got open to receive a through pass into the box! How is my positioning in any way "poor"?
I don’t. But I do have figured out tons of creative ways to use derogatory phrases about EA as squad names in FUT.
Another weekend league finally done. Another 13 hours of bullshit. Fuck EA.

and people still question momentum... hah.... used to do that with barcelona in seasons mode. played with a backwards lineup, messin in goal, valdez and center backs as forwards. subs as midfielders and the forwards as defenders
Yes, I started reading that sub pretty regularly sometime around the new year, probably tipped by someone here.
It actually helped my game out a lot, and it made me be more copacetic about the bullshit. I mean, it still pisses me off to go through stretches of 10 games where I can't complete a pass and my players completely ignore my inputs and look like they are in quicksand, but now I know others go through it, too. Misery loves company.
The latest episode of Dummy attempts to discuss the pay to win issue around FUT by bringing in the editor of Killscreen magazine to talk about lootboxes and EA's business model. However they fail fairly completely in exploring the issue beyond simply making a general audience vaguely aware of it. Too bad.
Yeah, that was pretty poor podcasting.
They really should have done more to cover dynamic difficulty and matchmaking and how the company utilizes those to drive micro transactions. Total let down.

I play Be A Pro pretty much exclusively, and the simulation of my supposedly professional footballer teammates is absolutely appalling, but only my teammates. My simulated opponents, no matter what their league level, tackle perfectly, dribble my entire defense, intercept everything and block nearly every shot. My fake teammates can barely pass, constantly lose the ball, can't cross, can't press, can't shoot, can't defend corners, can't make saves, and have the soccer IQ of U-5s. To make the game even vaguely enjoyable mechanically, you have to buff the Player team and nerf the CPU team with sliders to such a huge degree that winning becomes totally unsatisfying.
Why the fuck have I sunk so much time into such a shitty game?

Not playing FUT 18 was probably in the top 3 of decisions I made the last year.
i dont think i played a FUT game this year, very proud of myself. considered a run to D1 in seasons. currently in like D5 with little interest. think i left off with a record of like 40-3
Still play FIFA every night. It sucks every year. Its bullshit every year. I'll play it every year.
