Frank Lampard Thread

It is so great that Pellegrino was so high on Frankenweenie in december, couldn't survive without him, important part of the team, need him for Yaya's absence. Now he is getting cameos and barely played while Yaya was gone. Hope it was worth the fun we are going to have!

after what recently transpired with Giovinco maybe theyll let him off the hook and he can come sooner than expected... not counting on it but should be easy to do being paid by same person

MCFC have nothing to gain from letting him go early, and it's already pretty clear that they don't feel any pressing need to do us any favours. He'll be there until May #timestamp

I agree MCFC have nothing to gain by letting him leave early. But what do they really have to lose by letting him leave early? They just brought in Bony which will allow Jovetic to slip back behind the striker again in EPL.

Isn't it all about the UCL right now? They need his homegrown status?

Correct, they need his homegrown status for the Champions league. It would make sense for MCFC to send him back once they get knocked out of the UCL since they would no longer need the midfield cover with Yaya coming back from ACON, but we will see.

And for those making fun of Frank's childhood weight, you stay classy!

If he made the 9/11 comments, he should stay classy.

Again, he didn't make 9/11 comments. That story has been blown way out of proportion. He and some guys were drunk in an airport lounge weeks after 9/11 and he was guilty by association. Guys with him were bothersome to American tourists and he happened to be with him.

For all intents and purposes, despite what people here think because he's not training with us right now, Frank is an A+ guy.

People dislike like him because he we think he is disingenuous and we feel disrespected by him.
And rightfully so, I'm not going to defend his decision to stay in Manchester, I disagreed with it and even though Man City is my EPL team, NYC is my first team and I was just as disappointed as the rest of you when he announced he was staying. All I'm saying is be mad all you want, but to take it to almost personal levels of dislike because he stayed longer seems to be a little too far to me. I don't question for one second that he will be dedicated to this team when he gets here.
