Frank Lampard Thread

You could have De Rossi and Lampard. Fits into the budget and rules.

My question for you and @NYCFCFan10 is who exactly do you want the team to drop Lampard for and go acquire. Is there a mysterious new name that hasn't been mentioned here? Who is this younger DP that you want to drop Lampard for? I don't remember hearing a younger name, unless you consider 34 year old Xavi the replacement. You make it out to be like it's simple for the club to snap their fingers and voila! There's Messi! Voila! Now we sign Ibra! Voila! Here's Paul Pogba!

If there was a better, younger player out there that the team could acquire, they would have acquired him. Be happy that they were able to get Lampard here, despite the BS they put us through. You act as if they chose Lampard when they could picked Yaya Toure instead.

People dislike like him because he we think he is disingenuous and we feel disrespected by him.

Disingenuous - Yes! Sneaky - Yes! Disrespected - Yes! By Frank Lampard and is agent and City Football Group. Lampard NEVER officially and legally signed with NYC FC as the NYC FC owners group the New York Yankees & Manchester City advertised and stated. It was all to start selling season tickets, being duped is not cool at all New Yorkers won't stand for that nor should we. He should show the same respect and commitment as David Villa does, I have much respect for that and him now. Their is even a video documenting David Villa officially and legally signing with NYC FC, that says a lot. And their is a video of the staged signing of #8 on www.nycfc.com I should have spotted it sooner due to no lawyers being present at the time. Lampard needs to save face and get here on game day!

I have no issue with finding someone else with commitment and loyalty to the new project and team that will be their on Game Day 1.

Maybe Frank should try out for the Yankees, I am sure they wouldn't put up with this right, wait they must have?

You're a real person?

My guess is it's a troll account digging up old arguments and re-posting them just to try and stir shit up. No one who's actually been a regular part of the forums, reddit or any other form of discussion about the team is still posting with that much vitriol about Lampard, the kit, or especially the fucking logo.

Edit: That or he's been living under a rock for the entire building process of the team and just read up on these things like two days ago.

So I saw today that Frank said he would have gone to Melbourne instead of Manchester if given the opportunity, for what it's worth.

I don't believe that for one second, because it that were true, that would mean playing in the EPL wasn't a priority for him, which would mean that he would have told MCFC/CFG that he wants to start with NYCFC on Jan 1st. Him letting Lampardgate happening instead of coming out and saying he wants to play with NYCFC proves that the EPL was a higher priority for him.

That's what I was thinking. Unless his preference went Melbourne- City- New York, which doesn't really make sense.

I don't think it's impossible that in the summer, playing in the EPL wasn't a priority for FL. That's what he said in his interviews (find the pod he did with Men in Blazers) and the fact he signed with NYCFC instead of one of the EPL teams, which he probably could have done. Then as he played with MCFC, he changed his mind.

I don't think that makes it any better; he still went back on his word.

He wasn't going to play for QPR, or Stoke, Sunderland. Man City was easier because they were favorites for the title.
