FWIW, NYCFC is going to participate in whatever version of Leagues Cup they're going to go with this upcoming summer.
I just saw an ad for a Holiday 5 match ticket package and one ticket will be for a Leagues Cup match.

League meeting ended. They discuss the schedule flip but held no vote. Next meeting is April 2025. If they don't vote to change then it can't be done in connection with 2026 and World Cup, and if they do vote for it in April it's a short, tight window to get it done in time. But they could always do it later.
