I was in the mls website and for some reason decided to watch all the weekend’s goals. There were 5 own goals this weekend. That seems like a lot for one weekend. I doubt anyone keeps track of that but I’m wondering what’s the record for a weekend of mls.

Interesting article in the Guardian about Messi’s complaints on MLS officiating and the League’s efforts to limit attention to the issue.

I think the author is correct. Attention is good, even something like this. Better to make it easier for people to see the call than to bury it.

I both fully respect the privacy issues yet get frustrated when someone dies so young and they don’t report why.

I don’t know the intent but in effect the coverage embargo protects Messi more than the league or refs because that was absolutely not a back pass.
