The email said 16 people. That's $225 per person. I presume food and drink is extra. I've sent an inquiry.

Uch, I'm kind of selfishly hoping something like that can't work out, because I can't make it to the next match. But, doesn't food and drink usually come included with a suite? And a private bathroom? And waiter service? Lots of little TVs? That's what I think of when I think suite.

If all inclusive this could really make sense, especially for this game due to the weather (sorry adam). If it is all-inclusive their web copy needs to be better. My rule is that if the copy does not explicitly say something is free or included in the price, then it's extra. Here is what it says about the subject:
"Yankee Stadium Luxury Suites also feature the personal service and variety of food and beverage selections consistent with the Yankees standard of excellence."
Also:
  • Dedicated in-suite server
  • Diverse menu of premium food and beverages
The bathroom, TVs etc are mentioned also. But it doesn't say the food is included. If it is, it should say so because that's how marketing usually works. I'll get back as soon as I hear. I wonder if we can put a group together quickly.

What I said about adam was uncalled for. I need to follow my one sleep before I post not nice things about someone. He just brings out the worst in me with the way he treats new posters, and the way that he treated a legend like Lampard.

Haha. Anything terrible said about me is always called for.

  • 2:01pm – Join in with recording artist, Amy Rivard as she performs both anthems. The Canadian and American colors will be presented by the NYPD Ceremonial Unit.
  • 2:06pm – Get ready for kickoff with the 2017 version of our intro video narrated by LL Cool J.
I don't want a Canadian singing the national anthems when we play a Canadian team. I want an American singing both anthems.
Last time we had a Canadian sing the anthem for Montreal, he sang the Canadian anthem in French and then messed up the National Anthem in English. This year, I'm hoping we're ready with ICE agents on the third base line.

I've actually been in a suite (at a college bball game in Milwaukee, but it is the same stadium that the Bucks play in) and it did not come with free beer or food, we had to order that separately from our personal bartender/waiter.

Yeah, any suites I've been in have party platter / buckets of beer menus with the prices reflecting the "premium" nature of the food with a multiplier for the sheer quantity delivered (I.e burger platter has say 16 burgers@$15/ea=$240, or the nachos have 16 servings...). Giant money maker for the team because anybody getting a suite will run down the menu and say "I'll take 1 of these and two of those and 3 buckets of beer...."

So a very basic food and soft drink service is included. I'm not sure what is included but I think hot dogs chips and dip. The price also includes entrance to the stadium so you can sell or use ticket exchange for any existing tickets you have to offset the cost. Additional food packages run about $60-65 per person and alcohol is on a pay what you consume option. There hasn't been any strong indications of interest so I'm mostly reporting for the sake of curiosity I guess.

At $60-65, thats a lot of food for each person to consume...

If you can find more people, I'd go for it.

I doubt it's going to happen, especially on the short notice. Among other things, everything gets charged to one person, so if, for example, that was me, I would insist not only on getting paid immediately, ie today, I would also want an upfront cushion over and above the price to reflect expected alcohol consumption. And the alcohol cost would likely have to be split evenly because we wouldn't get an itemized bill that says this person ordered x, and person 2 ordered y, etc.

I use the suites for work sometimes. The basic platter includes hotdogs, hamburgers, beer, soda, french fries, cookies and fruit salad

I probably would have been up for this on Sunday—the cost/utility ratio for the suite would really be optimized in March, April, June, and July, during the cold and hot spells (especially June when the stadium will presumably be packed so the convenience and time savings of all of the services is especially appealing).

I plan to attend several matches in July and August and would be interested in going in on a suite then.
