one of my friends went to modell's today and a worker there told him and a handful of others that the jersey is coming out next week. Another friend of mine who attended the logo unveil party heard from a few of the people in the FO that the jersey will be the next thing to come out "soon"

I'd love a jersey launch, but at the EARLIEST I see it being late January similar to the Quakes this past post season
Rumors tonight suggest that Etihad is likely to become the latest corporate sponsor of MLS. That is the league as a whole not just NYCFC as some have suggested. Remember in the UK there are not as many international airports (Manchester and London by far the biggest) so its not really a comparable situation. I would guess it could be another Abu Dhabi startup (Etihad is still relatively young and ran at a loss until recently) but you never know.
Are the club likely to bring out a jersey without a a sponsor. Maybe as a limited edition? Some people have even suggested doing the first season without a sponsor presumably for shirt prestige reasons.

Think they'll be shirt sponsors for NYCFC plus advertising in MLS stadiums and commercials during MLS games on TV
I don't see us going without a sponsor. If they release a jersey without a sponsor and just the big logo in the middle I wont be buying it. It's one thing to wear a shirt with a big logo, which I did buy, but another to wear a jersey. Just doesn't seem right to me.
They couldn't pull off a simplistic jersey like MCFC for example without a simple sponsor such as ETIHAD. Putting a big logo in the middle or nothing at all would just look wrong.
Highly doubt that they will opt to not have a jersey sponsor. They need as much money coming in as possible to build a new stadium and what not
I, personally would love to see a black kit assuming they don't fuck up massively like LA did with their 3rd...

There was a mockup floating around twitter and Reddit. All blue with a white and orange sash from left shoulder to right hip. It was beautiful. I think it'd be really cool to have a black kit with an orange and white sash with the shield over the right chest. Hell if NYCFC doesn't do it, I think the Supporters Group should!

I hope Ethiad somehow works out a sponsorship with NYCFC because their logo always looks great on jerseys. It's nice and simple and gives it a clean look
Yep, not a chance we see it before early next year I think.
Though we definitely won't have to wait for "jersey week" because the interest in our uniforms would totally block out everyone else's...
