Right now I'm getting a Villa jersey. After that I'll decide between Lampard and our 3rd DP.
MLS just announced Orlando is releasing their uniforms on Wednesday morning. I would imagine we're releasing ours soon after.

Gotta say, seems like OC has their stuff together more than NYC. They always seem a step behind.
The thing is, CFG absolutely loves the whole "dropping a bombshell when you were least expecting it" type of publicity. They love announcing things without warning. Of course, half the time what they are announcing gets slipped to the press first so it comes as less of a surprise, buy they aren't the type to alter plans once laid, either.
Not to sound like a dick but does it ultimately matter if Orlando introduces their kits before we do? I prefer they continue to focus more on talent acquisition than jersey release dates.
Our NYCFC office is on top of everything. The NYCFC brand is much more significant than Orlando.
No, you're right, it doesn't matter. Was just pointing out how it seems like OC has been always a step ahead. They had a big event for Kaka with fans, they're breaking ground on a stadium, jerseys next week, etc.
Could just be different management styles. Was just making an observation.

They are doing well but they are an existing club.
We are building from scratch.
Also, I think they need to go first because our reveal will be the bigger event.
Agreed, I should have noted Orlando already has a foundation to easily build off of...
Drainyoo- If I was management, I'd wait till all 3 studs are signed and have a big event to introduce all 3 together. In addition, as you know, breaking ground in a desirable area in NYC will take much longer than it will in Florida. Prefer to spend an extra year(s) in Yankee Stadium than call a stadium in the middle of no where 'home'.
Couldn't agree more. They're only going to get one chance to get it right. If it means we have to wait, well, so be it.
Regarding waiting until the 3rd DP, if you look at the calendar, my assumption is they are waiting on the January transfer window to "acquire" DP #3. November is Jersey. December is Dispersal and Expansion Drafts. January window opens and you buy a player. February is training camp and March is Home Game #1
The Club/MLS haven't had to shell any money out for transfer costs yet. There has to be at least 1 target, if not 2, on the radar for both NYCFC and MLS. They had to know this going into the Allocation Selection.

So what would you be happy with/upset with regarding our jersey?
I would love some type of diagonal sash. I think emphasizing the blue and orange would be awesome. Maybe a blue shirt with orange shorts? alternating blue and orange horizontal stripes?
The only thing I would be disappointed in is a copy of man city.

I would love a dark blue and orange (or light blue) sash over white as a home kit. Even if looked exactly like the Melbourne shirt I wouldn't be upset.
I'm not a big fan of stripes or hoops though. They wouldn't be a deal breaker in terms of purchasing one but I'd be less apt to ever wear it.
