I have no real fandom for any Premier League team, except maybe a soft spot for Arsenal, and I also love this jersey. It's simple, classic, timeless. A pretty good starting point to shape our own unique NYC identity.
You are a minority though.I'm a Liverpool supporter and I love this jersey

That's a reality.I know I am but it just goes to show that not everybody that likes the jersey is a Man City fan.
the blue shorts for MCFC is a rarity. Hate it personally. Love the white shortsDamn, dude! They're super clean! (except for the terrible sponsor and that weird denim kit haha)
Like someone said above, REALLY glad that they wen't with white shorts instead of going 100% blue like MCFC. I hate solid kits.
Just curious, why does the club have to consult with fans before doing everything. What other NY team does that? What I think NYCFC should do,is to have 3 or 4 jerseys they would like to produce and then sell. Let the fans vote before next years Jersey Week and then, they sell the winning jersey. Maybe then they could contact of our fan made designs like (Drainyoo, sorry if I spelt your name wrong) and that could be our third jersey. That way it really is "For the Fans, By the Fans". Sorry if none of this made sense, I would love for some feedback. Thanks!
Everton, Leicester & Chelsea share the same shade of blue. Care to comment on that?Come on now. You can be pedantic all you want but it doesn't change the fact that there is a huge difference between having a jersey that looks almost exactly like the parent club and having one that looks almost exactly like another club with no direct connection.
Honestly I really don't think this would have been nearly as controversial on this board if the people who liked the kit weren't so caught up in bashing those who don't.
Too busy thinking about West Ham and Villa's shirt colors.Everton, Leicester & Chelsea share the same shade of blue. Care to comment on that?

we don't have to. What are your thoughts on your beloved Everton sharing kit colors with other clubs? Seems to be an issue with NYCFC. Is it an issue with everton? We can go in circles like this forever if you want.
You're surprised by that? And that has nothing to do with my reasons for disliking it. It did seem to turn out that the biggest boosters for the new kit are MCFC supporters though.
What you call bashing, I call educating the ignorant. And there is an abundance of ignorance on this forum regarding club ties.Everton, Leicester & Chelsea share the same shade of blue. Care to comment on that?
Please...no more of this. Can't we keep the discussion focused on the jersey release and not about our Manchester City roots. What you call bashing, I call educating the ignorant. And there is an abundance of ignorance on this forum regarding club ties.
this IS about the jersey. I've asked the Everton supporter what his views are on his club sharing colors with a host of other clubs, as it seems that isn't allowed. I've yet to hear his response, not surprisingly.Please...no more of this. Can't we keep the discussion focused on the jersey release and not about our Manchester City roots.
You aren't wrong...but we can't have every thread spiraling into a discussion about Manchester City. We all know the ties exist. If some people choose to ignore it that's fine. Just like other may choose to ignore the Yankee ties. If the topic keeps straying from the OP we're going to have to start moderating the thread.
