Sorry dude, it was in the box (both bodies are two-three feet inside of the box) and it was a foul, and the ref blew it calling the foul on Ibra and not Chanot, when Ibra got there first and a Chanot kicked through his leg. Chanot and NYCFC dodged a massive bullet because that should have been a PK.

And yet even taking them in to consideration, a ref with half a brain would question how Chanot was fouled if the front of his shin was injured and the back of Ibra’s calf. Did he think Ibra dropped the leg ala WWF wrestling?
This season is feeling like 2016. Not a lot of wins at home, but a lot of wins at the road. Don’t feel great about the team early. Because the formulation and tactics work on bigger fields. Vieira learning about the players and team. Dome learning about the players and team. Feel better about the team late. Just need to need more home games.

I do think the season still has time to go bonkers. ?LAFC is looking to be tops in the west for the long haul, but SKC will fall into form and make a run while the East is a crap shoot. DCU looking vulnerable. Even Toronto is slowing down while NYC NJ and ATL have heated up. East will probably end up looking a lot more like July of last year than the first few months of 2019.
This is shaping up to be an enjoyable and interesting season. Lots of storylines in the conference, lots of teams currently in the picture. Our team is shaping up to be a remarkable story, just when all hope was lost and absolutely nobody thought Dome should be given another training session, things turn around entirely and hope is restored.
Whether this run lasts or not, this has become an intriguing story to follow.
It’s incredible to me the range of outcomes on Chanot.
To a man, I think Callens is consistently the best CB in MLS. Because he plays where he does, the fanboys don’t talk him up.
But when Chanot is healthy both physically and mentally, he has another level on all of them. I know Ibra is 37, when Chanot destroyer him yesterday.

Chanot, Callens, Seba, even Brilliant. I wish our scouts could kill it with their LB signings the way they do with their CBS.
