I think he should be starting as the LF in our front three.still haven’t really figured out how to unleash him.
Treats - Hebér - Isi
Mata - Maxi - Ring - Tinny
Callens - Sands - Chanot

FWIWA larger pitch benefits us with this play style. The switches are working and giving us a chance to attack into space.
The goals per game is roughly double away what it is at home. Crazy.
Would it be appropriate to start calling it the pretty pinecone now that Dome seems to be getting through to his players sans mistranslation? The pineapple is pretty once again.
Sorry dude, it was in the box (both bodies are two-three feet inside of the box) and it was a foul, and the ref blew it calling the foul on Ibra and not Chanot, when Ibra got there first and a Chanot kicked through his leg. Chanot and NYCFC dodged a massive bullet because that should have been a PK.It was a foul but they were outside the box by the time Chanot kicked Ibra. And when you are Ibra you are not getting the benefit of the doubt there.
Glad the team didn’t go after Ibra after the choke. We were up comfortably so risking cards would have been supremely stupid.
This match was almost a little boring given out total domination in the first half and LAG’s lack of imagination in the second.
Heber is definitely adding more value than Treats, but Treats does advance the ball well, presents danger, and he also defends/wins the ball back. Not unhappy with him at all.
Chanot and Sands and Callens are so solid. Love how they allow Tinner and Mata to release forward. Mata still needs more quality on his final touch, but everyone, top to bottom, played well today.
Chanot's injury histrionics to the rescue again!Sorry dude, it was in the box (both bodies are two-three feet inside of the box) and it was a foul, and the ref blew it calling the foul on Ibra and not Chanot, when Ibra got there first and a Chanot kicked through his leg. And yet even taking them in to consideration, a ref with half a brain would question how Chanot was fouled if the front of his shin was injured and the back of Ibra’s calf. Did he think Ibra dropped the leg ala WWF wrestling?Chanot's injury histrionics to the rescue again!
I stand corrected. Didn’t look like it on the original replays.Sorry dude, it was in the box (both bodies are two-three feet inside of the box) and it was a foul, and the ref blew it calling the foul on Ibra and not Chanot, when Ibra got there first and a Chanot kicked through his leg. Play calling in MLSDome called for a particular play prior to the set piece that led to the second goal - saw him pat his head then Maxi (I believe) relayed the message to the team by patting his head
It's PRO :shrug:And yet even taking them in to consideration, a ref with half a brain would question how Chanot was fouled if the front of his shin was injured and the back of Ibra’s calf. Did he think Ibra dropped the leg ala WWF wrestling?
This is a team that can shut down both Zlatan and Rooney in their own abodes. That is something.
James Sands has played 270 minutes against Rooney and/or Zlatan and has given up zero goals.
This is shaping up to be an enjoyable and interesting season. Lots of storylines in the conference, lots of teams currently in the picture. Our team is shaping up to be a remarkable story, just when all hope was lost and absolutely nobody thought Dome should be given another training session, things turn around entirely and hope is restored.I do think the season still has time to go bonkers. ?LAFC is looking to be tops in the west for the long haul, but SKC will fall into form and make a run while the East is a crap shoot. DCU looking vulnerable. Even Toronto is slowing down while NYC NJ and ATL have heated up. East will probably end up looking a lot more like July of last year than the first few months of 2019.
It’s incredible to me the range of outcomes on Chanot.
To a man, I think Callens is consistently the best CB in MLS. Because he plays where he does, the fanboys don’t talk him up.
But when Chanot is healthy both physically and mentally, he has another level on all of them. I know Ibra is 37, when Chanot destroyer him yesterday.
