Man City Discussion

It was fun once we got in the building, but boy, getting in and getting out was a complete nightmare.
Yeah, definitely huge using the Clear entrance, would totally recommend it as it was the only reason I was able to get in before the match started and still have time to get my usual burger at Lobel's (near 134). No yearly fee for stadium access, although there's not all that many that have it: Barclay Center, the Garden, and Yankee Stadium (in our area, maybe 8 or 10 others elsewhere).

I'm a City supporter, but I am not paying those prices to see academy kids pass the ball to Haaland and Grealish. No, thanks.
Turns out, you also got to see Man City academy players foul Christian Pulisic every time he touched the ball - but that was only for 10 minutes.

It was a fun evening. Yes, the stadium was full, but it didn't have the atmosphere or intensity of one of our home matches. Not sure why that's not good enough for the people who crowded the park last night. I certainly don't understand why people think this is better at 4x the price.

And don't tell me the quality of the soccer is better. My son and I had a good discussion about whether we could have beaten last night's Man City team, which was about 50-50 between usual players and academy players.
