Meet And Greet Disaster

I too went to Saturday's meet-and-greet after the Montreal game and didn't have any issues - got there right after the whistle (plus a potty stop) - got to the ropes and just stayed there

Got to met:

Wingert
Grabavoy
Iraola
Poku!!!
Watson-Siriboe
Mullins
Hernandez

Saw a bunch of other players on the way to the cafeteria (Mix, Pirlo, Saunders, etc) - even Joe Tolleson and Ian Joy

Am i the only one that thinks that the meet and greet is a disaster?
i went to the event this past saturday, and the first thing i noticed is a guy called Nick (that workS for NYCFC)
giving away free meet and greet passes to his friends and some girls.
whats the point? some fans have to spend a lot of points to try to meet the players and what you get is an overcrowded room (thank you nick), barely space to get a signature or a picture, and only 5 or 6 players show up to the event.

ps: english is not my 1st language don't kill me
I just got an email asking for feedback. If you get one too, you should defiantly let them know about the issues you had.

I did the meet and greet and pre match experience. Boy was it a waste. They should have at least brought out one of the DPs to the meet and greet and should do so for every meet and greet. The players all come up and eat behind a curtain. Is it that hard for them to come say hi ? I was hoping for Mix and he just got off the elevator and kept it pushing. The girl running the meet and greet , Emily I believe , was attempting to fabricate cheers for the players. People were chanting the bigger names and she would get a nasty look on her face and tell people " chant Kwame , chant Hernandez, chant Joahnsen" and I mean she had a wicked mean face on when people were chanting for Pirlo, Lamps etc.

I keep hearing about this Emily gal. Is she a new Fan Rep or something? I did the Meet & Greet last month thanks to Dan Steeves and Villa showed up out of nowhere. I'm thinking since Pirlold and Lamepard are onboard, they will show face. Guess not huh?

She's listed as "Fan Services Executive" . . . . She was wearing a black dress and standing on the inside of the rope with the players as they came out. She was just trying to build hype for the players people didnt really care about "meeting & greeting" and it got annoying fast. I still cant believe the DIRTY look she gave to the group of Lampard fans who were cheering "super Frank". . . like a real devil grill LOL

If you want to meet Mix I would wait by the players entrance about 1 1/2 before the game. The two games I went to he arrived that sort of time stopped and signed shirts even asked where I was from and how I was - seems like the most down to earth and happy guy out of the bunch. He seems to walk to the stadium too because he came from the opposite entrance to the car park both times with his headphones on ......

Nobody has ever chanted for Kwame this entire season. And unless you were at the Cosmos game you don't even know who Johansen is.

1st language English or not, You made your point loud and clearly. I agree with you 100%.
I signed up for the next greet and meet. I am not happy reading this. Its good you are letting us know about this.
Are you a STH? If you are and planning to renew you should mention this when you renew, also call Dan Steeves he is Director of Fan Services. Do you answer the Cityzens surveys where they ask us how we can make our game day at YS experiences better.

If I observe this and the event , I will certainly report it. I have been saving my points to attend one of this events, and buying at YS stores and food( their food is not that great) just to add to my points and stressing myself to get there early for those additional points . It makes me mad.

I went to the meet and greet after last night's game and I highly recommend it. Emily did a great job imo.

We took photos and got autographs from David Villa, Poku, Tommy Mac (all three goal scorers!), Saunders, Iraola, Brovsky and Wingert.

Remember it is a meet and greet, not an intimate sit down with each player. It is what it is. And it was pretty awesome. Made a fantastic game even better for my whole family.

I spoke with Emily on the phone after the Montreal meet and greet. She explained that it honestly depends on if they win. The players choose to come out, so if they play like shit (ie the Montreal match where I went to the M&G) fewer/no DPs are inclined to come out and .

Also the people who look like they are getting free tickets are purportedly the players' family and friends who have to wait for them in that area as well.

Having gone to the Adidas store autograph signing, I still think the meet and greet is a crapshoot since your experience probably depends on if Kreis lets Poku start over Ned and propel us to victory.

Story checks out. I picked up my passes purchased with Cityizens points before the game at the ticket window in the great hall. There was an NYCFC customer relations exec outside the meet and greet area with a large stack of passes for player's families. I saw a kid about 13 years with a "Kreis" jersey get one and the exec said "say hi to your dad for me."

Is there any set time/date the meet and greet if added to the store? I feel like u check every day and look at all the things I missed

I attended the meet and greet for August 29th. Yes sadly it is on how the players feel at the end of the game that players will feel like smiling for pictures and autographing . This is quite understanding. On this day we lost to Columbus Crew 2-1. The team had on August 23 previous loss with La (5-1 ). we the fans smiled ,made no mention of the loss, we took pictures and asked them all to sign autographs.

However I do appreciated those players that came graciously to meet us: Mullins, Poku, Andoni, Wingert, Grababoy, Josh Williams and even The Coach Kreiss came to face us and sign(as always with a stony expression - this guy does not smile at all..o_O) Which was courageous , considering the last 3 games loss.

You were lucky. It is" not an intimate sit down " with the players but it would be nice if at least one of the 3 DP made the effort to be there. We the fans make every effort to be early , to spend money , bring family and friends, stand patiently on line to wait our turn and is a bit of a letdown especially to a young fan( child ) that The GREAT One did not show up. This happened to 2 , nine year old boys who came eagerly to the Delta, hoping to see Villa, Pirlo or Lampard and only Andoni and Brandt came. Seems like Andoni is a very nice guy beccause this was the second time I have seen him in less than a month. Thank you Andoni, you are a cool guy.

I'm going to start applying the players' philosophy to my NYCFC involvement too.
