Mix Gone?

There's so much to interpret from his tweet, spanning a vast spectrum of meaning and intent. Mix socialmedias thoughtfully and deliberately. It could be the simple or it could be the loaded. I don't want to Mixdebate (hey now) but thought it was interesting.

Here's the follow up:

Then:

Mix is taking the shit and sticking with us (at least online and for now).

But yes, Vieira is a pinhead, for not at least thinking, hey Lampard may get hurt again or need to be subbed out early, let's put in someone better suited than Mendoza in his place.

I mean Ballouchy gets a spot on the 18? I have nothing against some Mehdi Magic but what did Mix do to Vieira to deserve this?

I thought Mendoza did a great job when he came on. He also gives us a lot more flexibility because he can play up front and on either wing. Sure, he missed a sitter, but he hasn't played regularly and that's also something Mix has a tendency to do, too. Mix as a CAM or 10 is a myth (somewhat reified by the fact that he actually wears it). His personal preference and the stats indicate that he's a shuttler.

I agree that he should be in the 18 based on play alone. Only reason I can think of for his exclusion is that we are committed to shedding his budget charge and don't want to build our team or any continuity around his inclusion.

Can't imagine it has anything to do with continuity now that all the trade windows are closed. You play your best from here to the end.

Also, I'm struggling to believe this is just PV being recalcitrant. If so, very sad. But we can't know what's been said behind closed doors. What Mix has/hasn't done that is viewed as helpful or damaging to the team.

I really hope after the dust settles and he leaves that everything comes out and we look like complete assholes
Why do you want us to look like complete assholes?

So far as I can tell PV, Mix, other players, the rest of the FO, everyone has behaved respectfully in a bad situation. Maybe Mix has done some inexcusable shit. Should we hope for that? Should we hope PV did horrible shit? Claudio?

Why hope for any of that?

We all agree that the situation sucks. I'm sure those involved agree. I, for one, am not hoping for a mudslinging crap-fest post mortem.

This whole thing makes me upset. When we have players looking like shit and unable to complete a pass yet one of our better passers sits on the bench it's irritating.

Not even on the bench, but sitting in the stands in street clothes.

Maybe thinking longer term, i.e. Rather give other players exposure because they'll be around next season.

As much as I'd want to believe that I don't. I think we have a good amount of players on the team that won't be here next season that are still making the 18. The situation sucks and more than likely something very trivial.

Who do you think will be here next season vs who won't be?

I can see Hernandez, Ballouchy, Lopez, Mix and White? Maybe Mena too going? Maybe Lamps too.

Basically agree with the list except for Lopez. I think PV likes him and he's cheap and serves a purpose. Not sure what the stipulations are in some of our loaned players.
It'll be interesting to see if PV opts for some MCFC academy players next year to fill the gaps

But we have no idea what has happened. It is very difficult to properly pass judgment when we are basing it upon incomplete information. It could be effort, it could be a rift with coach or teammates, it could fit, it could be something egregious, it could be a Lampard conspiracy theory, it could be that PV has made an unreasonable or irrational decision that has hurt the team. Who knows. Not me or you. But I certainly don't want anyone coming out looking like an asshole.

Sorry just seeing this so apologize for any overlap with my reply.

Repped for part 1, not part 2. I agree there must be something unseemly behind the CFG PR screen, but I'm not sure that everyone involved won't look like assholes when all comes to light.

I agree, nobody outside of the team knows what brought us to the place, and that's a problem. As I've mentioned, pts have been lost because we aren't using our full roster and talent available. And with a finite cap, that's irresponsible. If the team wants a pass on why they aren't using him, they need to explain why and not deliver bleached coach-speak. Until they do that, they are 100% at fault because everything that has been gleaned from this situation suggests that Mix is in the best shape of his life and he's training very hard and doing everything asked of him, and there's no reason to doubt him.

Respectfully disagree with much of this, but agree that having an expensive roster dead spot should have been addressed in a more useful manner, which has been damaging to some degree so far and may/will be additionally detrimental going forward.

The fact that Mendoza was the cm sub When lamps went down shows that bringing ballouchy and lopez as your midfield subs was stupid. Whatever personality issue Vieira is having with mix reflects badly on Vieira since he is hurting the team because of it

Are you basing that statement on any sort of verifiable reality? While I agree that it's certainly possible that's the way things are you may have to provide some sort of evidence if you want us to accept such an extraordinary claim. Truth is, same as with Lampard, we may never know what the truth is. And you could be right, but there are several other more easily acceptable scenarios before we get down to "Vieira don't like him" as the reason for Mix not playing.

He's picking two guys over mix who he won't play in cm when fat Frank gets injured. I just don't know what to tell you if you don't see that as stupid.

I'm not saying I think Mix should be in the stands, I'm saying that whatever the reason is it's probably not because of Vieira/Mix personality issues. To me that seems like the least plausible reason.

These are professionals, and there's a lot of money involved. Hard to imagine there's been a playground dustup and now Mix isn't getting chosen to a side. I do think it's possibly stupid that Mix isn't playing, but I also find it very hard to believe that it's some weird unexplainable personal thing that Vieira's doing that's brought this about.
