One question is how much are players locking down in their home markets. I think when the Bundestag restarted, they kept the players pretty isolated, even if they weren’t in the bubble.
Looking at what’s going on in MLB, MLS can forget about traveling. Stay where they are and finish the season there.
3 more months in a bubble? No way would players agree to that.
NBA players are going 40 days without seeing their families (and friends, GFs, etc) before they can spend to have them come down and stay in Orlando. MLS and its players wouldn't be able to afford that -- especially for months on end.
to be fair NBA players get to leave to the strip clubs “for the food”.
If I say it like that, it kind of kills the jokei thought he was in atlanta though for like a legit personal reason and then in that same trip he went to the strip club
They issued a statement regarding transparency and agreed to release testing info on a weekly basisUSL is also doing the regular season similar to MLB where they play in the home markets ( some with fans) but i dont know what the numbers cases they having since no one covers them extensively.
Its either this or no season. Travel is not an option.3 more months in a bubble? No way would players agree to that.

They do; it's called MLS regular season (group stage) and MLS Cup Playoffs...What are the thoughts on doing this annually? Maybe kick off the season early to kill some schedule congestion through the summer

I would love this as an annual pre-season tournament. Assuming the league gets to 32 and stops there (which I think is the most likely end point of expansion) we could mimic the current World Cup format which I think is perfect. Do it in Orlando or a mix of warm weather cities. It could be similar to MLB spring training and a great winter vacation for us northerners! What are the thoughts on doing this annually? I think there's value in doing something that's on during weekday off-hours. There's nothing on during a weekday through the winter, unless it's the monday's EPL game or a one-off CBB game. And consider how many of us will be working from home permanently. Live sports are a go-to for plenty of Americans.I would love this as an annual pre-season tournament. I would take frequent February trips to Orlando with the family, catch several NYCFC and other MLS matches and get Disney/Universal trips in while down there!
If you take out the covid-forced quirks of no fans, last minute withdrawals and schedule changes I actually love this tournament! Now if only it was not summertime Orlando and was not in place of regular season home games this would be perfect!
Im in favor of an annual run of this tournament, pushing CCL participation back a bit!
They look so good. Very quick with moving the ball and making some good passes to cut through defenders.philly is tearing skc apart. yikes. aaronson is a great player.
