This sounds like the speak of someone whose current employer may have enticed him to stay following negotiations with one or more prospective employers.

If he is lying, that's a super-slimy thing to say to the media on your way out the door. A no-comment (or not doing the interview) would have been better than lying to the fanbase you're about to flee from. I certainly hope this isn't as brazen a lie as it appears to be.

These are strong denials. If he's lying, then fuck off. If he was in negotiations and said so, I would have no problem with it.
