NYCFC Confirm Departure of PV. Nice Confirm Arrival of PV as Manager.

Even though this rumour is a few days old now (at least 2 I think) I'll say it here anyway because I haven't seen that anyone else has - the rumours I read about PV is that he delayed leaving for Nice for several weeks (let's be honest, Nice don't exactly need him for another month) because he is aware that CFG were dropping vague hints about him potentially succeeding Pep in Manchester to him if things worked out right, and he didn't want to throw that away. Consequently he told CFG he would continue to manage in NYC for a while longer to allow them to find and hire a new manager without needing an interim.
Now I've heard no rumours of any replacements, so that could end up being nonsense, but it could also mean that NYCFC already have his successor ready to announce for when PV finally walks out the door.

I still think this is insane. PV hasn't *won anything* as a manager, and he won't win anything with Nice either even if he's the best manager Nice has ever had. Why would Man City, one of the richest and most prominent clubs in world football, bring in a manager with no silverware on his CV?
If the reports that Vieira is bringing his entire staff with him, can we get Pep & Co. for a few weeks until the World Cup ends?

But a horrible player. We played with 10 men today , Berget contributed 0 !!!!!
Troll ? Berget is horrible he adds nothing to this team . Maxi, Medina and Villa wont pass him the ball go watch the games , we go to every home game and we can clearly see how bad Berget is . Hopefully the next coach will sit him on the bench, 816K waste of money for a player that can't pass, dribble, create or shoot.

I'm sure you're on the case of both Medina and Maxi then too. Neither is worth their salary/transfer fee right now
I think everyone here should be scratching their collective heads over both those DP signings. I’m not sure how our team performs so well while striking out so badly on DP after DP. I hope our new manager has an eye for this and some input to share with CFG. Otherwise, i reccomend just poaching other teams’ DPs rather than bringing in anyone from outside the league. Would you rather have maxi & Medina or Piatti & Elis? I know we can for sure have one of those if we had an open DP slot.
Medina is crap. He’s a DP that has missed numerous chances the last few matches and hasn’t really created. Somebody said it best a few matches ago that he’s a luxury for a team that can score, but we can’t, and as a guy taking up a DP spot he’s not pulling his weight. Berget is in a serious funk scoring, but he busts his ass winning headers, pulling defenders, and playing good D pressuring and marking. And most importantly, he doesn’t fall over when a defender breathes on him like Medina.
Not happy with Medina's play but he is 19 years old and he has talent , comes to a new country at a young age so his adjustment period is going to be a little longer. He should be much better next year.
Maxi has been very good he distributes the ball and be is constantly one of our best players no issues with Maxi.
Sorry Berget just adds nothing to this team he is barely better than Nemec. Berget does not fit NYC style of play, he is not a skillful player needed in a system where we play touch an go, short quick passing. Play Lewis instead of Nemec / Berget and move Tojouri to a more central position.
