NYCFC Confirm Departure of PV. Nice Confirm Arrival of PV as Manager.

Maxi makes 2.5 more than Berget. Is he 2.5x the player?

You can't just be critical of some and not others from a salary perspective. Maxi was the second highest paid player on the pitch today.
Towards the top end of the scale, returns diminish.

We were superb today and I come on here and people are saying Villa is useless and the Maxi criticism is coming up again. I must be crazy. Everybody I know who plays significant football and watches Maxi thinks he's the best player not named Villa on the pitch. This has to stop.

Moralez has 6 goals and 5 assist, and we're not even midway through the season. If he ends up with 12 and 10, that's a really, really great season for a midfielder. He does an outstanding job unlocking our offense.

Thank you, I feel more calm now :D

Well statistically speaking, Jack had 10G/6A last season. Medina has 2G/5A this season. Jack didn’t take up a valuable DP spot. I’d go with the Englishman that had a green card and didn’t waste a DP spot.

Now if we can bring in a difference maker with the GAM Jack’s transfer provided, then maybe it’s ok to have Medina on the team instead of Jack, but I’m not holding my breathe on who the FO can, or will, bring in this summer.

Judging by this (and all the other stuff that happened today) ... this really isn't speculation anymore.

Vieira told reporters he just wanted to talk about the game and nothing else — not the reports of him soon finalizing a deal to become the coach at OGC Nice. But he shook each of their hands after his press conference and again as they exited and wrapped up interviews with players. It was as close to goodbye as could be said without handing out a scoop.

It's not unusual for reporters and players to have a friendly relationship -- handshakes are fairly normal between reporters and players at the end of a season, It's not normal before a one-week break. Just adds more color to what we already know.

Also,
So it's basically confirmed that he's leaving. The players will find out officially in the morning, and I assume the club will release something after that meeting.

So now that his tenure is over, how do you evaluate him here? My opinion is that there were things that annoyed us about him, but that's true for every coach in every sport. Generally speaking he did a great job. He helped bring this team to the precipice of trophies, and has left us far better than he arrived.

Overall I think we'll miss him. He was a really good coach here, and while it wasn't perfect it was damn good. I'll be rooting for every team he leads.

His record speaks for itself. He was a great coach despite his flaws and we'll miss him.

He was NOT emotional when saying goodbye to supporters man to man today. He was his normal jovial self. Unless they meant him waving to the crowd.

Not much better you can do on short notice. Would be an amazing hire.

Hmm.

Rodolfo Borrell will also join Pep’s backroom staff and has a reputation of nurturing some of football’s most precocious talents.

It was Borrell who was Lionel Messi’s first coach at Barca and he also helped the development of Cesc Fabregas and Andres Iniesta during his time at the Camp Nou.

He was Technical Director and Head of Coaching for Liverpool FC’s Academy after Rafa Benitez brought him to England in 2009.

While on Merseyside, he helped bring through players like Raheem Sterling, Jon Flanagan and Jordan Ibe, but he left the club in 2014 and joined City.

For the past two seasons he has been the Academy Technical Director, looking after the youth teams from U21s down to U9s.

Borrell will now become part of Guardiola’s backroom team as an Assistant Coach.

Honestly would prefer this guy to Arteta
