Nycfc Transfers - Summer Window

Yes the ownership is the same, but the cap hit is what matters for us. If NYCFC are paying all of their salaries during the loan they might be taking up significantly more cap. I'm pretty sure teams can pay only a portion of a player's full salary while on loan, though, so I'd imagine we're paying them the bare minimum while Man City foots the rest of the bill officially (CFG is paying for both teams, though).

On a separate note, I mentioned this on another thread, but could we add Williams to the season long injury list to save cap space plus a roster spot? Last I knew (it's been a while) wasn't he dealing with possible career ending health concerns? He certainly hasn't been on the field in months.
I thought we already had added Williams, along with John and Taylor to injured list? But if not, yes that's an option to get another roster spot. Doesn't solve the international slots. Velasquez to NE or DC, who have the most intl slots would be ideal.

DailyMail and others today have suggested Drogba is still in play, probably the usual silliness. Maybe it could work under one or another MLS on-the-fly mechanism. Maybe he can make it in time for the all star game.

He's asking for serious DP money. Not score player money. That's why he isn't signed yet.

Williams is on injured list but not season long.

Drogba : " “OK, just call the owners and then I'm there," Drogba told ESPN when asked about the possibility of joining the Harrison, New Jersey, club." "

Onyewu was back at training today. They need another CB have no more international spots. They might not be able to sign Tefu and might resort to Onyewu now.

Looks like we have more allocation money then previously thought. This says "NEW" allocation money we thought was just $100k but it's $250k

The league has always granted allocation money to teams each year. That's what they mean by "new allocation money," every team gets more each year. The $100k TAM is just in addition to the old amounts, and included in the $250k everyone will get next year. The difference is the $100k TAM expires after a year if not traded. The other $150k just goes in the coffers for a rainy day.

This my friends is whats wrong with the MLS...

Sucks for him. He's almost like Stuart Holden the way he has been snakebit.

Gooch - Holden - Davies

Three guys who could have been stars for the US. People forget how Davies was what we're hoping Julian Green will develop into before his car crash. I think he and Gooch got hurt within 24 hours of each other? Wrecked both of their careers.
