Nycfc Transfers - Summer Window

Is it safe to assume that we are almost above cap, out of INT spots, and that our transfer window is pretty much closed?

If so, I think that overall we did a good job, better than anyone else in MLS. Pirlo, Iraola, Angelino, Mena (still a question mark). Our weakest area (defense) became our strength. Our second weakest (midfield) should become one of the best in the league. We could still use another striker.

I guess that if we are done for the year, we did well on paper, and just need some actual positive results.

Is Orlando still in the running for Chicharito AND Ganso?

Angelino quality is probably the best we'll do.

I thought Angelino (unlike Facey) is highly rated in Manchester? He's looked great so far so not sure what you mean by "the best we'll do" ? Anyone know anything about this David Faupala they recently signed? French teenage striker was with Lens.

Sao Paolo also owes Orlando something like $4 Million. Orlando offered to pay $2 million and forgive the debt.

CFG has the better of it, actually. Pirlo is better for our club's future, believe it or not, and it's going to pay dividends when we sign even bigger names next DP cycle.

Seems Kreis & Reyna wanted to go with this Colombian striker instead but Ferran Soriano vetoed it in favor of Pirlo. He says it's asinine to say we don't need Pirlo but points out the lack of communication between NYC and Manchester

Doesn't seem like he's too expensive. They probably could have had him with allocation money and or TAM money. I might be in the minority and think that Pirlo and Lampard will play well together.
