As I have never been to New York & unless I win a lottery am unlikely too could any of you fine fellows perhaps post some pics of ground, surrounding area etc so that I can build up a vision of the background to the new team I am following. Please not standard photo stock, real pics from you guys who will actually be going to matches, wheres your seat?,which bar will you use? anything that may be of interest to us who wont see NYCFC other than by internet. This need not be restrictive perhaps Melbourne or Yokohama guys may want to chip in if thats ok with the mods. Thanks in advance & remember football never soccer :)

Can you rename the title? I think this is a really cool idea but some may not view the thread because the title is very generic.

Here's a picture of Yankee Stadium from the #4 subway platform at the 161st street stop.

The silver bleacher seats is where the supporters section will be located.

Here are a few more pictures from a slightly different angle. I don't have any photos from outside the stadium, because quite frankly, I never saw any reason to take any. :D Hopefully someone else can help out.

What will be the orientation of the pitch?

The South Bronx is not the nicest place in the world. There's nothing to do outside of a block away from the Stadium. If you ever came to visit and watch a game, you will take the subway there from Midtown Manhattan, where most of the NYC action is, get off at 161st/Yankee Stadium, walk across the street, and then go home after the game. There are a few really decent/fun bars around the Stadium. But that's more of a pre-game spot or an afternoon beer spot if we play a Noon Kickoff.
