Same Boring Frank Lampard Thread 2.0

Pretty sick of this argument tbh. He's on his way, he had a pretty good season at Man City. He can have a decent season for us and maybe help. But people like to stay stuck on old shit. I just feel like everybody needs to get over the fact that he didn't start the season here.
Well, having Villa on the team has helped us win one game. If we had Villa and Frank all season, is it too much to say that they we may have three wins at this point? Say Frank helps us win both against Philly, so we have five more points. than we do now. 12 points, we are alone in 7th place , still in the playoff race. So its valid to say that losing Frank for the first half of the season ruined our season. The damage was real, we were right, so on that logic there is no need to continue hashing it out.

I don't know why we keep doing this. Mcfc fans will never understand how we feel because they weren't the ones who got screwed. Easy to say let it go from that viewpoint.
As a city fan I understand your view point .but with anything in life the break up of a marriage, the death of a parent, etc there comes a point to not forget but to move on.he's just a footballer for goodness sake, its good to see in my time on here 99% of fans have moved on and getting involved in enjoying the season.but its the half dozen that have to criticise anything to do with frank good or bad myself and a large chunk of this forum find pathetic.

All that being said, at this point last year, New England was in the gutter. The addition of Lampard and another DP could provide a similar boost. Goal is to get in the playoffs. Then let's see what happens from there.

At this point last year New England had 23 points after their 12th game on May 24 (7-3-2).

Had a pretty good season? Hardly.

Lampard appeared in 32 games for Man City. He scored 6 times. Only Silva and Toure scored more goals for Man City this year than Lampard. Think about that.
Lampard made a total of 37 appearances for city scoring a total of 8 goals.

I think there's enough time to make a push for a play off spot with Lampard and a quality DP 3. A lot of teams make the play offs we don't need a high seed just to crawl into the dance and see from there.

You guys are all so damn negative about this Lampard situation. Whatever happened, happened.

He's coming in July and when that happens our team will get much better then, there's no need to complain every second about it until then.

Looking at your avatar just thought I'd drop it in conversation met both johnny marr and mike Joyce from the smiths at Sundays game.

Me being an mcfc fan has nothing to do with the fact I've supported this club from day one. Invested a couple thousand to build a community for supporters to organize and talk, asked for nothing in return and didn't stick ads everywhere to make money. Just because this is the first club you've ever supported doesn't mean everyone else whose watched football more than a year supports a shit team. That's basically what you're saying. Because nycfc isn't the first team I've ever seen kick a soccer ball on a grass I'm beneath you. Used to like you but honestly you're just coming off like a self centered prick now. This forum is filled with supporters of EPL, Bundesliga, La Liga, etc supporters. Even ex red bull/cosmos season ticket holders. So I suggest you stop with the bullshit or trolling, which ever it is you're doing.
Total straw man.

In fact, I'd say that has to be trolling on your part its so ridiculous and off the wall.

The fact of the matter is is the Manchester City fans don't have the right to come over here, in droves, and demand that the New York City fans not talk about certain things they find negative to their club. It is so insane that this has been allowed to persist for so long in such volume.

They've been telling us we need to get over it and not talk about it literally since about 5 minutes after it was announced that Manchester was stealing him. Now to have them coming in here saying stuff like "Oh he's a great guy, he had a really good season for us, you guys are a bunch of assholes for being mad at him still!" or the old shift blame to New York bit, "Well ask NYCFC's front office what was on the paper!"

Are you fucking kidding me?

That'd be like if we were roommates in college and I decided to take home your new big TV and saying "Hey its a great TV, I'll send it back to you in 6 months, don't be mad at me, that would make you the asshole!"

It truly is a shame that our New York admin can't figure that out because he is so blinded by his loyalty to Manchester.

Was referring to EPL games, but yes. Point is that he was a major contributor for City this year, whether the haters here want to admit it or not.

Just based on EPL games to add another stat only Costa 20 and hazard with 14 out scored him at champions Chelsea.

Nice the members of the Smiths who aren't bonkers! Love Moz as a singer but I don't need a lecture on meat lol.

That says more about how disappointing City was this season than anything. Pretty sure Terry had more goals than that and he's a CB.

I was a bit thick and didn't realise they didn't get on and got them to sign the same page of my programme !
Also bumped into Noel and liam twice last season.liam is the ultimate rock star, its not just an act !

Where were they when Jones played his first game?
Jones first played on Aug 30, Game 25. Their record coming into the game was 9-12-3 (30 points), and included their entire 8-game losing streak. For us to reach 30 points by game 24 we need to do no worse than 7-3-2 over our next 12, of which the first 6 are presumably without Lampard (unless he joins earlier than everyone expects).
