Seat Relocation Emails, Appointments Next Week

I'm not sure if work counts as my level of an emergency, but I'd like to take this chance to mention that the day I was supposed to select I had a family funeral to go to. I told my rep a couple days in advance when I found out myself. They gave their condolences and worked with me. They took down my preferred choice of seats and made they selection for me at my appointed time, without me having to call in or go online. It was one of the nicer gestures and experiences I had from the FO in year 1. So, when they do right they deserve credit. Now if only they didn't screw up the other 90%...
With belated condolences for your loss, that is a very nice story. So glad they handled that the way they did.

D'oh! I just went back to the notification of appointment email and clicked on the link for "More Information." Which apparently no one else here did before now either, because it answers some of the issues we have raised:
  • If you are unavailable at your appointment time, you can find someone to relocate your seats for you and send us their contact information. To do so, you must send an email with their name, phone number, and email address to FanServices@nycfc.com prior to Friday, November 27. [NB: Rand ]
  • If you are interested in changing the number of seats on your account, or relocating from or into Supporters Seating (Section 235GA – 238GA), you will not be able to do so online and must do over the phone with a representative.
    • Please keep in mind that if you add seats to your account you will not be allowed to split your account into someone else’s name at any point in the future.
  • We recommend using the Virtual Venue prior to your appointment time to get an idea of where you might want to relocate. While it will not show what is available, you can check out the various views around the Stadium, including these new seating options
    • MasterCard Batter’s Eye (Section BES1, BES2, BES3)
    • Bleachers (Sections 202 – 204)
    • Legends, Category 4, and Category 5 seating behind home plate
  • If you want to relocate your seats with another City Member, you will have to do so at the latest appointment time for the group.
  • If you would like to sit underneath the overhang, the row in which it begins in each section is listed below:
    • Section 105 – 107 = Row 4; S108 = R9; S109 = R17; S110 = R23; S111 – 134 = R14; All 200 Level = R11
  • Away supporters will be seated in Section 217 during the 2016 season.
  • City Beats will be located in Section 118 during the 2016 season.
  • The home team bench has been relocated to the north side of the field, closer to the Supporters sections.

I did take a look at the more info link, but since i'm not sure of relocating; I wouldn't have an exact section i could tell someone t0 pick for me. I did email my ticket rep, and they'll still call at your appointed time, but if you can't pick then, there wouldn't be a second phone call. Jonah did say if we called when we're able to go on and left a message, they might be able to call back, depending on the volume they are dealing with at the time.

Sorry, yeah Tuesday. I thought Monday was the 1st.
What time is yours at?
It appears as though I may have the first look on these forums so I will be sure to update the masses on this site as to what type of selections are available when I select.

10:15 am on Tuesday. Who wants me to sit by them?

I'm actually betting the cost of my old season tickets on the club's continuing to draw well. My relocation is actually just for my two late season additions that I had them tack on before NER. My (limited) secondary market research led me to taking the gamble that I can sell my row 1, seats 1&2 in 215 and fund seats at twice the price.

Once I choose the new tickets (and assuming I actually exhibit some follow through on analyzing the outcome), I will make a thread tracking the results.

It likely depends on how easy it is to copy and paste selling prices and fees directly into excel after I forget to track it for a month.

I'm also at 1015 on Tuesday. Anyone know an estimate of how many people are in each time slot?

Are most people looking to add seats next to where they already are or move sections? Now that they have moved the teams to the third base side, I'm looking to see what's available in 105/205. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Well, since you mentioned it. I'll share my traditional Thanksgiving hymn.

Btw, it's not short.

My appointment' not til the 3rd. Damn me being a Johhny-come-lately. I looked at the renewal site and the area I want to move to is all red, despite there being no one sitting there most of last season........

Almost all sections are marked unavailable. I'm cautiously optimistic this is to hold everything as is until Tuesday and much more will be open. I'm considering a move to the lower deck.

My rep told me the supporters section was the hottest for resale this year. Still, I'm trying to move my supporters tickets into the lower deck to get all 8 of my seats together.

8 ?!?! family or work seats ??? I cannot imagine your food & beverage bill each game - that's insane !!!

I split with 3 other dads. Though 4 of the tix are officially mine. And yes, concessions run high.

The email states that the availability isn't reflected in the map until your appointment time.

I'm 10 on Tuesday and going to take all of the good seats. All of them.

While I can arrange to pick up the phone at that time, I can't be at a computer. So I'm going to have to ask the rep what is available section by section. Hope they are feeling patient . . .

I believe they are just switching the home and away team benches to put our club closer to the supporter's area, not changing the side of the field they are on.

The more info link on the appointment email, mentioned the team being moved to the north side of the field. If they were just moving the away team towards right field and nycfc towards center, that would still be the same side of the field, but maybe i have it wrong.

The orientation of the stadium is such that the first base line is south, third base line west, right field bleachers north and right field east. So the team bench was on the south end of the east side last season. Moving it north should mean sliding it on the same side towards left field.
