I think that's backwards. The Mets stop on the 7 has two platforms, both much wider than that tiny 6 platform. Also, because they have a third track they always have one train sitting there in the station waiting at the end of the game.Though tbh whenever I would come down the steps at GC and see a bunch of people in Mets gear crowding the platform my heart would sink. I do believe that the overcrowding on the 7 train and it's inability to operate correctly is gonna be a HUGE problem. That's one advantage that YS has - it's more than one line that stops there.
Underrated sense of humor this one has. That's the ugliest SSS I have ever see.
But the D train also stops there. you've got two lines serving YS and only one at SheaI think that's backwards. The Mets stop on the 7 has two platforms, both much wider than that tiny 6 platform. They do hold the 6 train in the station when the crowd starts to arrive but that's only if it happens to be there. If it's not there you end up having a dangerously overcrowded platform with no train, with just those two tiny stairways to get up there.
Pre-Giuliani, you could get that in Times Square.I like wet humor
where's that? a land where they love man chests?South Manchester would get my vote

I kid, I kid
I support this concept.
And I fully admit that it's because it's only one train and 11 stops from my house.

However - if it's gonna be a couple years before this happens maybe Cuomo and his stupid AirTrain to LGA idea will get implemented by then and the Mets and the NYCFC can offer passes to the STH for the LIRR or whatever the fuck it is straight from GC for the same price as a Metrocard. As it is I've seen them do special express 7 trains that go straight from Willets Points to GC after tennis games.
