Yankee Stadium Matchday Megathread

I might give an empty water bottle a go myself, I was able to get a bottle of soda with a cap the first game but haven't found a vendor selling them since. I had one of those NYCFC cups get knocked over saturday cuz there wasn't a top. Might try pouring the soda into the empty water bottle. I miss the days of sneaking beers into Shea.

I'm the capo of BYOBS (bring your own Bombay Sapphire) I've been "occasionally" sneaking in a small bottle of gin in a Fiji bottle since the second game. Got a 50 pack of these Camo caps on Amazon - they are "sealed water bottle caps". What have I learned? Don't mix my gin and soda in the Fiji it will go flat by the start of the match...and that I may be more prone to acting an idiot by second half.

After launching the Queens food finds thread last year, it feels a bit late to start this conversation, but earlier today I learned about this place from one of my daughter's favorite food influencers - Julian Mu.

Feels like it needs a visit. Just a few minutes from Gate #2. I'm going to try to go there pre-game tomorrow.

Assuming I make it, I'll drop some photos tomorrow.

Could have been put in the stadium thread, but damn bringing back this thread from 10 years ago.

San Jose is perfectly fine and less off the beaten path, but LMK what you find. When I have time I grab a torta or a cenita and bring it in with me. Def better than the other closet food options around the stadium.

I do like San Jose a lot. The video (in case you're interested) featured a chilaquiles egg torta. I've always loved chilaquiles. So hard for me not to give this a go.

I haven't gotten to the torta yet. The first spot featured in the video is up in Riverdale less than 2 miles from where I grew up and described as a 40 year institution which is after I left and damn I'm old.

ETA: OK that torta looks amazing.
