The coach isn't the main problem.
The problem is we only have one player that consistently performs and he's almost 36 years old. The rest of the squad are nothing but bystanders.
I don't think we'd get very much for him. Most teams wouldn't even spend $850k on a DP.
I'd try to keep a hold of T-Mac. Poku was dumped because of his attitude, and I don't really see that with T-Mac. Plus he's a local boy which is important to have on this team.
Unfortunately the same weaknesses from last season still seem to be present. A midfield that can't tackle, and a build up that is just way too slow. It would take us 4-5 passes just to accomplish what Orlando could do in one. We need to be a lot faster otherwise we are going to keep struggling...
This is definitely leading towards an NWSL team in the future (or whatever the equivalent is.) Both Man City and Melbourne have professional women's sides, and it's something the City group as a whole seems very committed too.
It's pretty exciting to think that in the future we may end up with...
Yeah this is feeling very much like a back three team. Maybe even a 3-4-3 like how Conte is playing now at Chelsea. I'd love to see a trident of Moralez-Villa-Harrison up top at some point.
Really loving all of our moves so far. I think without question, this is a more well-rounded team compared to last season. Actually having players who can run more than 10 yards in the center of the midfield is going to be such a shocker to watch compared to the last two seasons.
Now get a...
I'm very happy with this. Either you pay pennies for another Saunders or you pay for a solid keeper like Johnson who hasn't even entered his prime yet.
The people who were complaining about Saunders' statue like reflexes will be over the moon with Sean.
I am shocked at how cowardly we played. With how poor our home form is, I honestly thought Vieira would come out tonight and try to win the tie here. We were never going to keep a clean sheet at home so it was really important to at least get a goal.
Pirlo was such a massive loss.
I would be all over Iniesta, especially if we are really committed to playing a possession style. Besides Pirlo, I don't think we own any other midfielder who is confident in possession. And even he I would argue is someone who is more comfortable playing in a more direct system.
David Villa takes this team to a completely different level when he's having a good night. I really hope we get our shit together sooner rather than later so we can win a trophy with him before he gets too old.
I know I should be sad seeing another soccer league go down, but I can't help but laugh. Not after all the soccer war crap their Commissioner and the Faux Cosmos have been trying to build
The league was incredibly stupid and naive to not only turn down a partnership with MLS but also believing...
Wayne will be 300 pounds after a year of living in America. If he's not motivated enough to even pretend like he cares about playing for his country, I don't want to see what kind of attitude he would have playing in MLS.
