MLS is Back Tournament - 2020

Brad Stuver held out of the roster. Wonder if it is a personal decision.

Discussion in the other thread - It sounds like it's a personal decision. He's a great guy and a good backup, do you think/are you implying it might be a different reason? (i.e. team didn't want him to come?)

From the team:

NYCFC Goalkeeper Brad Stuver did not travel to Orlando due to a personal matter. League Pool Goalkeeper Charlie Lyon will train with the team while in Orlando.

Stuver said: “Although it's difficult for me to not be with the team in Orlando, I made the decision to remain home in NY because it was best for my family and myself. Wishing the guys good luck and a safe and healthy return home.”

NYCFC Sporting Director, David Lee, said: "After discussions with Brad, it became clear that his unique situation meant it was right for him and his family to not participate in the MLS is Back Tournament and we respect his decision.

He is an important member of our squad and while we will miss him and his influence, we are looking forward to having him re-join the team upon our return to New York."

I didn’t see the team announcement. Saw speculation on twitter when I made the post and shortly thereafter they released the roster. I’m not surprised. He’s spoken out about the tournament for a while now. I respect his decision.

There’s one thing I didn’t miss about MLS, kickoff times. Still no rosters for the squads so we’re looking at a 8:15-8:30 kickoff.
The one time I'm happy for that - I am ending work super late today so that's good! haha

rodolfo pizarro "took a knock during training today" - if he doesn't come on the field tonight, I'm almost sure he has symptoms of covid - yet he's in the stadium... so maybe he actually took a knock during training? weird.

I don't know what's worse:
The camera angles they have here (and they say yankee stadium's angles are bad, yeesh!), or Dom Dwyer.

...Then why schedule the (hands down) worst fixture first? :|
I read a compelling argument last night:

1. PINK (or the color when you accidentally put your reds in with your whites...?) VS PURPLE
2. BIRD VS LION
3. FLORIDA
4. MLS
5. R I V A L R Y
6. This is the first ever meeting between the two sides, with players mostly not from florida, coaches not from florida, and no floridian fans watching live.
