2016 Schedule!

If we want to be taken seriously, we need to win at Chicago. If they continue to not spend money, there is no excuse to not go in there and take all 3 points.

this is one will be interesting for sure, both teams have MLS debut coaches and both did well with youth teams- chicago's winning the U20 world cup with serbia

That Chicago game looks like an easy win on paper, but if I know anything about football or sports in general, I know that games aren't won on paper they're won on the field.

Can't wait for that Toronto game. We played some of our most exciting football against them last year.

In regards to scheduling of matches for tv, ESPN could broadcast the afternoon games on the mothership if they keep the marquee game day on Sunday. I think ESPN broadcasts NFL at night on Sunday or something like that? Hell, I don't know, I don't watch the No Fun League (NFL)

Unless a team is in the south or California, until it hits May, all home games should be at noon.... These nighttime games in the dark may be great for TV slots, but I like the feeling in my toes and fingers, and beers sales plummet when everybody is scrambling for hot chocolate. Now if they'd sell hot toddies by the mug, I'd be all over that and wouldn't care if it's a noon or a 9pm kick-off.

How was the game?

I don't remember.

We really need a few more friendlies. If that PR game was any indication, Chicago will flog us blindfolded.

We were short about 1/3 of our overall salary cap, hadn't spent our 800k in allocation money, and took our star players off the field in the second half.

The on field product in the second half was worth about $1.4m in salary cap, a bit more than that in terms of actual pay only because of mix.

Yeah that was not our final team for next year by a long shot.

but but but...their coach played a year in MLS and "understands" the league

Fyi: our home opener is almost a month after the super bowl, so we are fine with NFL scheduling. We just have to worry about march madness.

If you really want to get sabremetricy you need to add TV Station, kick off time, afternoon/night, lineup, etc. etc. etc.
