Anyone notice the dark, smoky ads that NYCFC.com has right now? Hmmmm. I think a dark gray secondary would be pretty cool. Ties into the color scheme of some of the recent leaked Adidas stuff.

I think it needs to have the darkest elements of that throughout, in order to contrast with our primary kit. Otherwise there will be opposing kits for which we have no contrasting option.

Exactly. I don't see how any grey other than charcoal could work (and I don't have to like any of them).

I was just about to post the same thing about the monochrome emblem.

You seem really certain about the rest of the colors on the jersey though. Go on...

It's not the most compelling image of NY, and I'm generally not a fan of that style for jerseys. But I'd need to see it and at worst most likely would react with indifference.

Meanwhile that typeface makes me ill. It's unpleasant to look at and read. I don't want to see much more of it.

Yeah, if that becomes a part of the final product it’s hard not to feel like there’s something to the “make the secondary jerseys ridiculous so as to drive people to the CFG sky blue” conspiracy theory.

It could be really cool - or not - depends on final execution.

I do wonder if it’s a 3rd kit. It doesn’t contrast that much with the light blue. Plus, given how many jerseys we sell, we are overdue for one.

Maybe it's just the marketing slogan for the season.

First season: Welcome to the Club
Second and third season: We are one
Fourth season: Everywhere we go

Would be kind of cool if they took a supporter's section song and made it the central message for the season.
