If those guys are making something like that up, they are the scummiest of the scum. Right now my listen list goes like this:

2. NYCFC Nation
3. SITC
4. Blue City
5. Chavez & Griffith

If they are just making up controversy then I'll never bother listing again. They'd have gone from TMZ to National Inquirer level.

They aren’t saying, yes this is what’s happening, but I guess just passing on rumors they have heard.

I hope to hell its not true, otherwise it really changes my opinion of Villa.

But again, it’s not completely crazy to me that we don’t know what’s going on with him. Did we ever actually get an official timeline on his injury? I remember in the Toronto post game Dome said that he would likely be out 1-2 games, but that wasn’t official, and was before he has really been “evaluated.” Did we ever get something more official from the club?

You don't think it hurts his legacy here in NYC? Please give me a couple of what you're taking. Forget the Villa statue, we can start burning his jersey if he walks away mid-season from his former coach with a championship/CCL contending team that he's supposedly the heart of. It's not like his contract is up, go to China in the Winter window. If this is real and he leaves, fuck him. I'm sorry. But I'd like to not believe any of this till there's some evidence. So right now I love the guy and can't wait to see him back after the Vancouver match, if healthy.

i mean we never got a timeline with lampard.....or honeslty many players injuries ( not counting chanot since that seemed more like personal matter). its the usual with CFG/NYCFC with their injury news. if anything i think its more that the injury is worse than expected and that the fear he cant contribute much more now. as in hes physically done for the year.

That said, they mentioned that there too. They mentioned (from a source) that Villa might be realizing he doesn't have much soccer left in him and may want to get a last big payday playing over in China with Iniesta and Torres.

without him nycfc is basically orlando minus the stadium. id be more hurt if he leaves to join ATL or NJRB

Agreed, but if it's true....... that's some serious shit he'd be trying to pull during the club's best season to date. It pretty much would foul his legacy, but as Kjbert said, it's his career and he may only have one more shot at a big payday (which he better not get from us). I just hope if it's true, the club has enough time to pull in a new kick-ass DP before the window closes so we're not left a roster-spot & DP short if he immediately transfers to china with his buds.

We didn't get much of an update regarding Lampard, but I'm pretty sure that once he stated practicing again, he went straight into the lineup and played his way back into shape. His lack of fitness was why he looked so slow and laboring. We've already heard that Villa is back practicing, so either he's had a setback, which is wholly possible depending on what his injury was, or there's more going on. I wouldn't have guessed he'd play on turf, but I really thought he'd have been an option off the bench for Orlando.

since the two away games were so close to each other and only one flight was charter....why spend on flights for him when he will only play 15 mins or so.

Spending money on a coach seat to/from Orlando is insignificant for the club - and it was always part of the budget. That's a much more serious issue if the club is penny-pinching $700 for flights.

well the other subs are fit to go 90 if needed (even if not used), villa most likely was not. thats why they take them. villa can only give 15 good minutes and cross country trip? Dome may have said nope not worth taking him.
