Unless Maxi is playing as a False 9 or a LW (both dumb), it’s tough to fit those
Guys together.
What if Maxi is being moved? Not that I want him to, and I believe he likes life in the states for him and his family, but what if suddenly his spot was open?

Well then we should be desperately finding Maxes replacement. And it needs to be a proven player if we want to compete this year. He is arguably the most important player, so losing him would be a massive blow and some young kid with limited top-flight experience it should not be the target

So you want cfg to look for TWO DP’s. They probably struggling to find even one.

I plainly say that I don’t want him to move. The question was posed on the possibility that Herrera was taking the first DP. So only one DP would be looked for.

CFG getting all the American talent possible so they can stifle the shit out of it. Least that’s what they have shown so far.

I’d rather lose every game and start a midfield of Haak, Sands, and Keaton than watch the shit show we got served last year. It was one of the few times I actually began to actively dislike a team I support.

This club has a problem, and it better be careful or Dnigly13 will be more right than I think he intends.

Jo Inge Berget reportedly wants to leave and return to his former club:
"Hear from several quarters that Jo Inge Berget wants to leave New York City FC for social reasons, as he announced to the club. The Norwegian has done well in MLS's first season but wants to move back to Scandinavia - and what I hear is MFF if he would agree with NYCFC to break the contract. Molde and a couple of other clubs in Scandinavia can also be relevant.
But it is supposed to be that he breaks the contract first.
Answer how it goes there we will not have until the end of January or a bit into February."

Be nice.

“Social reasons”? Wouldn’t be the first snowflake in Scandinavia. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.

Real questions: Do we have to use the buyout on him to get cap relief? Or if he backs out of contract it’s voided?

Good for the player, good for the club. Wouldn't be hard to replace him at his salary and we've still got time to do it. Be free, JIB.

If it's by mutual agreement we don't need a buyout and the cap space reopens (plus I would think any Garber bucks). That's what we did with Nemec. It might be that he has to initiate for technical reasons.

I wouldn't pay attention to the reasons. For all we know, maybe Dome told him his playing time prospects weren't good, both parties wanted to end the contract, and he gave the usual "personal reasons" line as a way to save face. Or maybe his family really is homesick, that'd be understandable too. Whatever it is, it's all good.
