i don't understand at all. unless ronny is hoping to convert sands into a CB and play a 3 man back line? or maybe they feel sands will be gone to europe soon so they need another DMid as a backup to cacha?
is there interest for sands? since no one hypes him and doesnt get called up to the national team does anyone in europe know about him?

there isn't any published news about interest from abroad, but the thought is that he would be snatched up very soon. don't think a national team callup is keeping him from going to europe.
i don't know. just spit balling. i don't understand the club's strategy for team building based on these rumored signings. the only one that has made any sense so far is amundsen... and then gloster came along. so i'm just throwing my hands up at this point and hoping Lee and Deila have a plan and i'm just unable to see it!
i called him as team MVP last season and he did have a breakout season. i would say comeback player of the year.
i don't think he's a game changer, but he is more useful now than he was before. i just don't know what his best position is. not enough speed or 1v1 ability to be a winger. not enough vision to be a #10. definitely not a #9. i guess a #10 backup or slow winger would be his best position.
we are expecting thiago signing and potentially santiago in the summer. we still need an extra winger or striker too even if both of those do happen.
So NYCFC posted on instagram "Chanot Shines in Luxembourg big win" and i misread it as "Chanot signs in Luxembourg Big Win" and thought that was the name of some random luxembourgish team and nearly had a heart attack

Sands has not shown the ability to stay healthy (collarbone and arm in 2019, foot in 2020), plus he could be on the move as soon as this summer or at the end of this season. Plus we have lots of fixture congestion later in the year and will need to rotate starters. So that's where Morales could fit in?
I know the order of signings this year is concerning people, but I continue to believe they are working on many things at once. Signing this guy doesn't mean they're ignoring the front line, it just means this is getting finished first.

based on careful analysis of inside training videos, my prediction is that gudi will become our new left wing for his unbelievable pace and attacking ability. who better to replace a viking at LW than another viking!?
I still have nightmares about going to Yankee Stadium for a playoff game and seeing Mikey Lopez start. Watched a Dusseldorf game a couple months ago and Morales looked good (I had forgotten about him). He would be a quality depth signing who can slot into our starting lineup at any time.
Well sure, and they are trying to sign guys. We're all seeing those rumors.
Speaking of injuries -- why are they signing Morales after letting Ring go? I wonder if the team basically decided that with Ring's knee issues he was a ticking time bomb, and that they wanted to trade him before his knee issues catch up to him.
