Feel so much better with Santi back and I am really looking forward to more GP this year.
I think they both have “the dawg” in them.
Maybe a bit early to think Santi has matured enough to fill Maxi’s shoes but I will remain optimistic that his game levels up again this year to keep NYCFC one of the top MLS clubs.

We don't know. Freese and Barraza both saw time in the preseason. Cushing has said it's an open competition for the starting spot and has not committed to either. My bet would be that Barraza starts the opener as he knows our system with Freese getting a chance in a later game after he has more time to learn the system and get used to how we play out of the back.

i think those two numbers bring a bit of implied role/responsiblity to them. can't just take them to take them. not everyone is as crazy as morales taking #7 as a dmid lol.

Wasn't the rumor that Santi is taking the 10? I would imagine they left it open for him.

I think it also says something that Barraza took #1. While from any indication, it doesn’t mean he’s starting full time, but he’s definitely manifesting and getting into Freese’s head
