The summer window
opens Jul 24 this year and closes August 21. They moved it later to align better with other leagues. We have 11 home games, 65% of the total, before the window opens, and 13 (76%) by its close. Apart from the historic difficulty of succeeding in MLS playoffs from mid-table positions, that's a lot of mediocre or worse soccer to pay for under your season ticket invoice. As bad as 2023 was, I can accept the circumstances that caused it. Lee needs to address things sooner rather than later or it's a real slap in the face to fans to do it again. It is already unacceptable, but fix it fast and we'll put it behind us. I don't want to pay for 13 crappy games and 1 or 2 playoff wins. Given how random the playoffs are, NYCFC needs to get back to providing an excellent team all season year after year. That is the simplest way to provide STH value.
