After What I've Witnessed The Last Two Days In Mls...

I'm a little nervous.

A lot of these teams are missing big contributors but...they're still looking really good.

It might be a rough ride for our club for a while. Toronto looks like a beast, Columbus look great, New England will be great. We have to go to LA, to Dallas, to Vancouver and to RSL -- the last of which will be turning the dial to 11 when they see Kreis again.

We get Portland, Seattle, Houston and Kansas City at home but in the first half of the season. We can contend athletically with all the clubs in MLS. Its mentally that I worry about. They are clubs with years of experience with each other and we've had 5 preseason games. Lol

Well, at least Orlando looks like shit. :)

Yeah it won't be easy by any stretch. But having the experience of Kreis will be helpful. When he took over RSL they sucked bad. Look at them now.

Also, as long he is healthy, Villa will be a difference maker.

Defensively this team is a mess. It won't be a pretty season. We'll be lucky to slip in to the last playoff spot. Let's start off with three big points today.

If you're basing things on one game its far too early. Toronto looked good on the opening day lasts season and someone on here suggested they might go unbeaten mainly due to the presence of Defoe and Bradley. Unfortunately they had an incompetent manager and other issues and didn't even make the playoffs in the end. Certainly most people would have expected them to make the playoffs last year but you never know...who the hell expected New England to make the playoff final?

New England is a tough way to open at home. They are very strong, and their style will be tough for us. They have a lot more pace than we do, and they can sit back a little and hit us on the counter with Jones breaking up play and out-letting long to Bunbury and Agudelo or getting it to Nguyen for him to run at our defenders.

If you didn't notice, our defenders are especially awful when people run at them. Okay, especially awful might not too strong because, to be fair, they are equally as awful at dealing with crosses.

I really hope Poku steps up and takes a starting role. We need his physicality.

Only having 1 DP spot filled won't help, but I trust in Kreis. We are just going to have to be patient as the season plays out.

I'd write more, but my dachshund is scratching at the door, so I have to take him out to make Kaka.
You love you some Kaka = poopoo jokes. But you're sticking with your strengths. A man after my own heart.

Hey, I've only got another few hours to ride this one, so I've got to do my best.

I hope I at least get credit for having a different one each time.
You did have that going for you. Even as I tired of it, I was impressed with your reach.;)

I think the East is far better than it is getting credit for. That being said every club has noticeable flaws. Ultimately I think NYcFC sneaks in to the olayoffs, with Orlando, Dc, Toronto, Columbus and NE. I think Philly is the one I might regret not picking.

Heading up to the bar with my wife here in a few minutes. Sans Away shirt since our merch department is run by monkeys.
