Atlanta (Home) - Postmatch

Glad Mitri's starting to prove a bunch of us wrong. Rounding into form just in time for the playoffs is the way to do it!

Are the grays our home kits now?

Nice to see Heber back and on the score board straight away

cue the whining from Atlanta fans and some of the media about the size of our pitch. Jason David (who I often times do like) pissing me off on the radio this afternoon suggesting it would be bad if we host MLS Cup at Yankee Stadium.

The greys are on clearance at the team store. They just want to sell them.

Hey, remember when people on here said we needed to sell Mitrita for pennies on the dollar because he could never produce on a DP level?

Nah, just kidding, I love you all, and we're going to need each and every one of you, because it looks like we're going all the way this year.

Statement victory.

Missed the game and just watched the highlights. That second goal... WOW definitely one of the best team/buildup goals of our season. That was sick.

Loved seeing Heber clown Guzan on that fourth goal.

24k in the stands tonight. As it should be.

i love our grey kit so much and will fight anyone that says otherwise.

Switching Gears to the Quakes now. Should have gone to the game. Glorious night for soccer at 80 degrees at 8 pm! C’mon Quakes.

PS Wondo is suspended this game so he’s getting hella hyphy with the Ultras in the supporter section. What a legend.

I think that's the lowest I've seen in a match. Like ever.

Fun game. Enjoyed my BBQ Crow sandwich - rec the extreme hot sauce as the add on. Mitri finally looked the contract. Was enjoyable to see their backline get burned so often. Can't remember if it was the first or second goal, but the one-touch sky pass that launched the attack was absolutely ridiculous - definitely should be the goal of the week. Also saw some of the best offensive movement and passing of the entire season. Dare I say that Rocha is a better option in the midfield than Ofori and plays a very competent if unspectacular role - he's moved up to Keaton's backup. Really hope Berhalter was watching Sean Johnson launch perfect outlet pass after outlet pass to a streaking forward to immediately get behind the defense.

Was Taty arguing with Maxi before the PK? I'd swear I saw him arguing/begging Maxi for the ball and maxi brashly brushed him back. Will never understand why Maxi still has kicking rights, and frankly the player fouled should never take the kick - and Maxi was a good foot off the post.

totally agree Rocha in the midfield is a good option. He is a work horse and makes better defensive tackles than Ofori. Ofori is better at holding the ball but to that point, he's not really supposed to be holding the ball as that's Maxi's job. Do the job and pass it on to the right person. Rocha serves that role perfectly and speed and positioning isn't as important

nah

they both had great performances that contributed to the team's success.. but individually, I felt their game was a bit off. Maxi's PK was more evident of that based on how wide of the goal he was. He was missing that final touch in to set himself up to shoot and score. Isi just seemed to lack confidence. He was great winning possession and driving forward, but he didn't shoot as many times as he could have. Just doesn't seem like he was his usual self just yet. Even that shot that resulted in Mitri's 3rd goal, he didn't hit it quite that well. That lethal left foot needs to make a comeback. i'm rooting for him! love that guy.

While we are at it, where was Ofori tonight? Not in the 18.

Looked like an amazing night. Couldn’t be there in person, but watched on delay from home.

Chapman was very good tonight - consistently let both teams play aggressively. That favored us as the team playing with more intensity.

Only complaint is no DOGSO Redso on Pogba for the foul on Moralez. Even a yellow would have sent him off.
