Not trying to be your mother or wife, but if it was me, I'd stay home Sunday and watch on you TV since I gather you probably value being at the Home Opener and festive. If you're getting sick now, going to RD's and being around the motley bunch of vagabonds watching the game will only expose you to a plethora of other nasty cold-type stuff, and then you will have issues with the Toronto Game.

lol relax...i know if im messed up i ll be in bed

Jeez this is still 4 1/2 days away?

I went back and watched the opener from last year - yes, I'm bored at work - and oh how I am not going to miss watching Nemec, or Grabavoy or Wingert at CB.
Last year's starting 11:
Nemec-Villa
Grabavoy-Mix-Jacobson-Ballouchy
Brovsky-Wingert-Hernandez-Williams
Saunders

This year's projected starting 11 has 3 of those players in it. And only 6 of those players are still on the current roster.

I'd take Rimando over Robles as well, and there are many up and coming keepers in the league now too.

Rimando is a bit overrated. His frame and athleticism is a big drawback. He has great shot blocking skills and is very good with his feet but, to me anyways, he doesn't have the total package. I still stand by what I said earlier. Robles # 1 in MLS, and to me Sean Johnson is #2 when you look at the total package (reflexes, shot blocking (rebounds), footwork/legs, air game, and athleticism, and command of the backline)

In addition I will contend that David Ousted is above Rimando and Hamid at this point, judging by play in the last couple of seasons.

Rimando has peaked but I don't see how that makes him overrated.

Rimando has always been overrated in my mind. But that is my opinion. What I look for in a GK is not someone like Rimando.
Ok, you mentioned before his frame and athleticism is a big drawback (frame I agree on, athleticism I do not). What else makes him so overrated? As you previously mentioned, his shot blocking is great and he is fantastic with the ball at his feet. He has always had great command of the backline. Rimando is a very, very good keeper.

So, we've talked a lot about the starting lineup on the forum, but what do we think is the full match-day 18? Here's how I'd break it down. This would leave three spots from the guys in the Maybe category, assuming no injuries. Lampard is presumably just a fitness question, but thoughts on the others?
