WHOA...that's crazy. i mean, de boer won them some trophies last year. It's pretty insane that they would give him the boot so quickly into a messed up "season". guess ATL is gonna continue to suck for awhile now...
Especially surprising because Martinez got hurt. They’re completely different with him.
I don’t think they’ll suck for awhile though. Maybe this year, but they have a motivated ownership group and would be a draw for most coaches.
I’m sure there was a lot of back room issues we don’t know about as well.
Yeah this seems like he was probably an issue for a while. If they were to knee jerk fire him after a bad 3 games in a Mickey Mouse tournament in Florida that would be overkill.Atlanta United, Frank de Boer mutually agree to part ways | MLSSoccer.com

Atlanta largely overhauled the roster this past offseason, almost certainly for the worse. Martinez is hurt. Covid has disrupted things. There are a lot of good reasons why they’ve had a bad start.
Last season was a success with a couple of trophies, finishing 2nd in the East, and making the league semifinals. And that’s all after Almiron was transferred, and I think he had been there best player.
So, this timing is really more about the opportunity to bring someone in while they have a month off.
The Athletic had a damning article that indicates it's far deeper than that. Players would walk out of practice on him, loudly cheered against Ajax within his earshot in Champions League -- it's not that he lost the locker room, he never had the locker room to begin with. He just clearly wasn't a match with the roster or the organization.
this isn't going to end well.
MLS is the guinea pig for everyone else regarding letting people go to games.
Also MLS made fans attending the game sign liability waivers.I just don't understand how government can be this clueless as to allow something so cavalierly stupid. Texas is still a hotspot for this virus -- and even in non-hotspot areas of the country, it is still circulating. Complete insanity in this country to allow fans at games, even if they are staying apart.
guarantee this isn't limited to the south.

If Texas knew enough not to let people attend FC Dallas matches, they wouldn't be a hotspot for the rona.I just don't understand how government can be this clueless as to allow something so cavalierly stupid.
