Not watching game but doesn’t Atlanta have an interim coach? I guess still bad with all that money spent on Barco/Pity although I do lol at them getting Damm and cubo, those dudes are not going to massively change your Team for the better.
That being said I do think they get massively better with Josef and also with him always getting calls here and there.
To me, it seems like their defense and midfield are their weakest links. going forward, they aren't too terrible. they just get hammered on defense and have no way to get it up the field. Pity has yet to show any consistency as a former south american player of the year. barco also isn't very consistent this year. perhaps they're all still not match fit. who knows.
but those 70,000 ATL fans are probably losing it and that's entertainment in and of itself!

The Athletic is reporting that they surveyed MLS exec's who think RSL will sell somewhere in the $350-$400 million range (which includes not only RSL, but the stadium, their $78 million training complex, youth academy, the charter school for academy players, etc.

SJ was godawful last night. Their man-marking system was shredded. I think this was in large part because they didn’t have the pace to keep up with Seattle’s players. When you are man marking a guy and can’t come close to keeping up with him - it’s a problem.
The first goal is the largest example of this. Morris just ran a circle around Dax McCarty who had no chance at catching up with him, and a ridiculously large void opened up in the middle of the final third that Morris just waltzed into.

man marking can work even if there are mismatches. SJ wasn't this bad last year. seems like they just gave up last night.
yes some slack defending would be nice too. but we're so bad at finishing, i feel like we'd just keep missing the goal and rack up 50 shots.

haha. just gave the short answer. He's no longer good enough to play at the highest level. With no interest from other clubs in europe, he has to come back to MLS. I've never rated him very high as a defender. He's got plenty of pace and that allows him to get up and down the wing quickly. But he is not the best 1v1 defender, his positioning is terrible, and he forgets his man constantly. His pace helped him cover up a lot of this in the past.. guess it's not enough these days.
