General MLS Discussion

If you get a chance, watch the Brian Rodrigues goal in el tráfico. His first one he left like 2 or 3 bodies on the floor before put it in the net from an impossible angle. That’s just not something you see every day.

Instantly thought of this when I read your post. Rodriguez was special last night. Hope he doesn't get hot. We don't need a surging lafc in the playoffs

Stu is getting torn apart by dallas....

his back line is completely falling apart. they aren't even trying. jogging back to recover.. lol.

The way this game is going, Austin could be on their own red wedding.... Stuver with a really bad giveaway for the first goal... and Austin has just been dreadful. Really really dreadful.

they try to play out of the back but don't have the talent or drilled patterns to do so. dallas presses them and they fall apart.

Does Taty really stand a chance? I think if he can keep this scoring pace up (aka the "mean" according to what y'all analysts keep saying) and pull us a nice point haul, then he might shoot up. That is something I'd like to see!

he has a chance if he goes wild and wins the golden boot AND has high assists. otherwise, gil will take it. it's a very slim chance, but i think taty has a chance.

I think it also depends on when they vote on this player. If it’s before or after the playoffs. If before I see Gil taking it. But after it’s really all about how far ruidiaz takes the Sounders. The Sounders never seem to disappoint in the playoffs

If the team significantly closes the gap with New England he has a chance. Existence of 2 Revs candidates might suppress votes for both on theory that each benefits from the presence of the other. And it depends on whether voters look at Gil and say "wow he has huge numbers for a guy who missed several weeks," or "the Revs did just fine without him so how valuable is he?" But Gil is clear frontrunner if he comes back soon enough.

Salloi only 2 goals ahead of Taty who has 2 extra games remaining.
Ruidiaz 4 goals ahead (and same 2 games played extra to date) but has slowed down. Scored in just 3 of his last 9 games after a torrid start. Taty can catch him if Ruidiaz stays on current pace, but he's clearly capable of going on another tear.

So yeah, he has a chance, though several things have to break right.

Was dreading opening the power rankings, we dropped to 7th.

...but I found solace in this:

Orlando down 0-1 at home to Clubfoot Montreal and Nani sent off after second yellow. Now 0-2 haha

oh and the SpaceX first all-civilian space flight in history launched in the background at one point... the camera suddenly followed it up into the sky behind the stadium lol, it was cool. Eventful half!
I seem to have jinxed things. 2-2 now, 63rd minute...
