Wait until they add World Cups every 2 years!
But even now, I don't see how they fit in all the games you mentioned.
wasnt there talk about a divide within owners, some dont want to spend more than they are currently spending on an MLS team roster? well see what happens.

I don't like the idea of expanded rosters. Budget sure, but rosters? Do we really want to be playing games where we start the 34th best player in the club? How seriously should we take those matches?
I prefer to have a best XI and deviate from that as little as possible. Obviously, we can't always start our best XI due to congestion, injuries, international duty, and discipline.
Plus, how good will the expanded roster players be? Its unlikely that we will be able to sign many MLS caliber players to fill the deep roster spots and sit on the bench until rainy days. So the deep roster players will be a major drop-off from best XI players. I dont want to watch many games with those players.
Basically, I like the WC style event. I loved the general format of MLS is Back. Hopefully, they reduce the MLS schedule to accommodate these additional matches.
30 team league. 28 matches: round robin in conference? 29 marches: 1 against each team? 30 matches: same as 28 schedule but two special matches for Heineken rivalry weeks?
I agree with the thrust of this. 30 players is a lot - more than twice what you can play in a game with 3 subs and nearly three times a starting XI. How big are the rosters at the European clubs where they have 2 domestic cups, league play and potentially European play.
i think 28 is "too many" over there. However they do use their academy kids in certain cups like league cup and maybe early rounds of the FA cup. Maybe the MLS 2 teams will help out with some of this congestion.

They don't even wear red right now. And their colors are red, dark blue and white. So who knows.

The colors match the Chicago city flag so it's not a completely random choice. I think the fans have been wanting the city flag colors for a while people in Chicago seem to have a stronger attachment to their city flag than most other cities I've been to.
yes its true. even wrestlers like CM punk are out there kissing the Chicago city flag. or random fans in different events are waving it if they from there.
wish they can incorporate our city colors more in our jerseys ( though it seems not as many like the city flag or are aware of it like I am), but it is what is is.
