You’re right. It’s weird. Orland Miami and Columbus, currently sitting 6-8, can all catch us, but Cincinnatti, in 5th, cannot.

Charlotte 4-0 over Philly. Union played with 10 the last 20 minutes but it was already 2-0. Charlotte probably still won’t make playoffs
Union plays Toronto; Montreal plays Miami.
Going into the break the buzz was the Union’s possibly best all time defense.
Then they concede 4 to expansion Charlotte who also get their first ever hat trick. In fact Rios scored all four.
Portland is the only MLS team without a hat trick.

They actually had a hat trick this season for a few minutes but the third goal was called off after video review.
Union ties Toronto and Montreal beats Miami - they finish with 65 each and Montreal finishes first by having more wins right?
Montreal already has more wins, so yes.
Seattle losing atm, but they’re in good shape if they can come back tonight

First time Seattle hasn't made the playoffs since they started. I'll take my presence in Seattle for making that happen. And I was there for the NYCFC game in Portland so my presence is a curse for Cascadia teams.

I've seen some rumors about him wanting to finish up back home, though. I'm not sure how true they are. We'll find out soon enough.

MLS team late on $10 stadium rent payment
The Columbus Crew are paying only $10 in annual rent for Lower.com Field, yet somehow were late on their payment.

Columbus blew a 2 goal lead against Charlotte and confirmed 2 things:
1. We will not be playing RB in the first round of the playoffs (if they kept the lead it became VERY plausible... but they tied)
2. As columbus plays Orlando on the final day, we can confirm that in the eastern conference, the max points to lose out on playoffs this season will be 46. (West i believe is also 46 unless i did my math wrong, due to RSL playing portland.)
