Well the snowstorm was a bust, at least around southern Westchester.

Hopefully, this will make clearing the pitch easier. That said, Gotham’s shoveling of the 2” that was there revealed a heavy icy mess that stuck to plants and surfaces. That might complicate things.

I'm going to say I was wrong and that the snow/slush should be melted by Sunday. I expected much more, but this is good news. I can't stress how important putting a blanket on your legs is to staying warm at these games if you're going to sit down at all.

That is rough brother. You must have great coping skills.

Hivemind is also without power but Hivemind has amazing neighbors with strong generators. Currently Hivemind and family have the run of the house at the incredible abode of the CFO of Vice Media.
Good stuff! As soon as we (i.e., if we ever) get back in, I am purchasing a monster of a generator.

SITC was saying that neither Hountondji nor Ibeagha are ready to go 90 minutes at CB. Does that mean we see Sweat pushed inside and Mata back in the starting XI? If so, is it problematic that both center backs are left footed?

I would think that’s a challenge given how we play out of the back.

There is always the remote possibility of Sands at CB.

I would like to point out, that on the SITC pod, they were speculating that neither Cedric or Ibeagha were ready to go 90. They weren't making any statements on their fitness from info passed down.

I wouldn't be totally surprised to see one of them inserted in the starting XI. Or possibly Sands back there. Or possibly 3 ATB.

I wasn't sure if Crooks was saying that because he knew something about why Hountondji didn't make the 18, or was speculating.

Sands just doesn't strike me as a CB in this league right now. Not that he can't get there, but he seems too small right now.

Would they play 3 ATB with Sweat, Callens, and Tinnerholm? Doesn't it usually call for 3 CBs? Not 1 CB and 2 FBs. Would SAS play instead since he is likely more defensive then Tinnerholm? He also has the height

The way I was interpreting it, it sounded like it was speculation and not so much insider knowledge on something.

But for argument's sake, lets assume neither Cedric or Ibeagha can start. I don't think PV would want 2 left-footed CBs in the game in 4 ATB, so I don't think Sweat would move inside. I hear your point in regards to Sands, and I'm kinda with you there.

PV has mentioned he wants the ability to go to 3 ATB for this season. Now, this is only the second week, so unless they did some extensive training on it in the offseason, who knows how much of the tactics is grasped by the team. But if they were to go 3ATB, I would guess it would be Sweat-Callens-Tinnerholm, and then you bring in SAS as the RWB. But I don't know him or Tinny all that well yet to really make an informed decision on who would be a better RCB in that system.

It is an interesting predicament to be in this early into the season for sure.

Found a couple transit tidbits checking on Sunday, I don’t use the 4 or MNR so I don’t know how relevant these are

The 4 is local through Manhattan this weekend

http://web.mta.info/mnr/html/march_18_sched.html

Yankee Game Day Service
For Harlem Line Yankees fans, frequent service to Yankee Stadium is available via a transfer at Harlem-125th Street Station for the 4-minute shuttle ride to and from Yankees-E.153rd Street Station. While station and track improvements are under way, reduced capacity means there is no direct service from the Harlem Line to Yankees-E. 153rd Street Station. As an alternative, fans can also drive to stations on the Hudson and New Haven Lines (where weekend parking is free at Metro-North-controlled parking lots) for direct service to Yankees-E. 153rd Street Station.

Bench: JLew, Taj Mahal, Scrooge, Sands, Ibeagha, Hountondji, Stoove

Big question is CB. Two left footed players is. It ideal, but this formation at least gets you your Best XI. Better to figure a way to get Ronald on the field than to add one of the other centerbacks for a full 90 - at least at this point in the season.

Per the link: "Our next schedule change goes into effect on Sunday, March 18" so I'm assuming MNR on Harlem line is OK for Mar 11 & Mar 17 matches
