Yes, Gonzalez was the VAR in Houston. He was also the VAR for SKC-CLB where that slap wasn't video reviewed. So, either the referees were shit during these matches or he sucks. I think it's the referees. So, I'm okay with him as the VAR.

is there a MLS site that lists exactly how the VAR process works and what type of fouls/ situations are review able? i feel every VAR situation we are all speculating

My god he whines and whines and whines. He blames their prior loss on being stuck in NYCFC traffic.

The equivalent of this would be PV ranting for a minute about it being hot in Houston.

Deal with it. Come on.

its not even that.....he freaking coached here....he has to know that you leave earlier due to the traffic and how bad it is. stupid "excuse"

They must be expecting the Yankee game to run a bit longer in terms of tv coverage or maybe trying to avoid the rain.

So they made the decision to change the times, not by a lot but enough to make a difference if you were going to arrive between 6:00 and 6:20 at least. Molly, but no other reps that we seem to know of, sent out emails on Wednesday, and 2 days later they make a public announcement. It's not a failure by any means, but it is odd. The club just occasionally seems unaware of the basics of communication and handling customers, crowds, etc. Why wait to announce the change? Why didn't all reps advise their customers by email?

Here is how the r/OCLions subreddit put as the projected lineups...

Their backline looks abysmal. And while Mueller has been hot, with Dwyer and Sane out, I think this is going to be a solid win for NYCFC. And I don't think we play a 3-5-2 with that backline. Since Herrera is out I think we move back to the 4-3-3 with Chanot and Callens as the CB pair and Ring and Ofori as the midfield pair with Maxi.

--------Shradi--Villa--Medina---------
-------Ring--Moralez--Ofori-----------
-Sweat-Callens-Chanot-Tinnerholm-
-------------Johnson--------------------

SUBS: Stuver, Ibeagha, Hountondji, Abdul-Salaam, McNamara, Awuah, Berget

I'd personally replace Hountondji with Lewis...

With Kreis complaining about being late to the stadium last time around, you'd think he'd want to get there super early. Orlando is still in Orlando as they trained in Florida today. Likely getting on a plane after practice. How funny would it be if they had delay after delay.

Dwyer in training, from Orlando fans I've read he's likely not match fit so in the 18 but not starting.

“It is a big loss, of course, because Yangel has been a big part of the success that we’ve had so far,” Vieira said after training Wednesday. “But that will give, as well, opportunity to players who didn’t play much to step in and try to show how good they are. There are players like Tommy [McNamara], Kwame [Awuah] has been training really well the last couple of weeks. That will give them the opportunity to play, but of course losing Yangel its a big blow for us.”

It looks like Vieira didn't learn from the Houston match. If you try playing Tommy like Yangel, you're gonna have a bad time.

3-5-2 it is then tomorrow :(

I like the idea of a 3 man back line against Orlando, but I don't like it if Ring is one of the three. I think we need him in midfield with Herrera out. If you put Ring in the back, that means you need Tommy or Kwame or James, and the midfield isn't as strong.

I guess what it comes down to is whether you keep Sweat in the Starting XI or Tommy. I guess I would prefer Tommy, but if you have to have a weaker player on the field, I'd rather it be at left back than center mid.

To go 3 centerbacks, I'd put Ibby on the right side and Chanot in the middle.

You can then put Ring and Ofori in front of them with Shradi and Medina wide and Maxi sitting under the forwards.

Ugh, I do not wanna drive 275 miles to see TMac walking and pointing fingers in midfield.

Scrap the 3-5-2, put Chanot back in the Starting XI, move Ring back in the midfield, and give me that front 3 I have been waiting all season to see...Shradi, Villa and Medina
